Re: Make me smile :)
both of his front legs do that when he's standing (or sitting). We took him to the vet when we first saw it happening as a pup. Doctor said it was likely due to malnourishment from birth up to when we got him (his litter was found abandoned in a house, mom just barely alive). He said his growth plates likely closed in an odd manner and we could either have a surgery that might not work and he'd have to be on bed rest for about a year, or we can just monitor it as he ages and see what happens. We went for the monitoring idea. He's now 2 and a half and he gets around just fine (doesn't know any better, I guess), he's just a little slower than most dogs at the park. He's learned a pretty sweet move though... when a dog is chasing him and the dog catches up to him, he tucks a front shoulder, does a roll forward and turns his body 180 degrees and just bolts the other direction. It's awesome to watch.meow wrote:What's the deal with that front driver side paw in that picture?

Can't post one of these in thread (it's .gifv), but I found these two things to be absolutely adorable.

Another big gif (size-wise), but it's worth it.

Re: Make me smile :)
I've gained such an appreciation for birds since I've had to take care of this parrot. They play like puppies and they're smart. They have attitudes, too. My mom - she lives in same town and is over all the time or takes the bird to her place - kept putting him in a cage at bedtime and apparently his original owner kept him in there most of the day (a-hole), so the parrot has such an aversion to being locked in now that when my mom forced him in one night, he wouldn't come to her and growled at her all next day. We then just decided to leave his cage open at all times so he can now do whatever he wants.stopper40 wrote:
