Five Guys
When my daughter was in the hospital last month, I ran out and grabbed Five Guys for my wife and I for a change from the usual lousy fare. Of course when I got into the elevator to go back up to her room, with the trademark greasy Five Guys bag, I was in there with two cardiac physicians...oh the shame

Their challenge burgers are not very good due to the sheer size of them. They taste kind of like meatloaf. They do have some awesome half pounders though. I prefer their wings to their burgers.

The sweet heat dry rub wings were almost too spicy to eat last time I was there.

They used to have the best deal around. $5 burgers with fries on MOnday and Tuesday. They are always on point. Now the price is up to $7.25 (still not unreasonable) and only on Tuesdays.

Any opinion on burgers dipped in gravy? This place makes those and they're good. They also make great hot dogs. Clifton, NJ.

I am developing a burger recipe for a cookoff with some friends later this year. My favorites tend to be the bacon-bleu cheese variety, so I just need to come up with some different ways to deliver those flavors. (Like mixing bacon fat into the patty instead of using rashers)

LA is the land of the awesome food truck, so my favorite burgers tend to be mobile.

Baby's Badass Burgers, The Other Woman (They also used to have a $15 burger called The Cougar that had aged beef, smoked cheese and truffles.... amazing)

Ta Bom, the Hamburgao
Spoiler:
Image
Hamborghini, not the best burgers, but everything on their menu is named after hockey players (The Great One is actually a chicken sandwich, lol), you can get a fried egg topper if you order 'Robitaille style', and the line cook is a PSU alum who gives me free egg rolls.

There are other good burger trucks out here (Rounds, Me So Hungry, Slammin' Sliders, etc)

As far as fast food goes, my list of favorites begins and ends with In-n-Out. Double-Double With Cheese, animal style with well done fries and a root beer. That's pretty much a perfect meal, imo.

Can't remember so well these days but, I believe we used to buy cases of beer at a Rudnick's in Marianna back in the 70's.
A little old lady had a distributor in her garage. We'd pull up and honk the horn. Out she'd come!

I got kicked out of there after getting punched by a drunk guy on my bachelor party. I guess I shouldn't have swung back.
