Fire Dunlap and hire actual radio people. Ditch the cutesy morning show crap and stick to actual sports radio.Ned Braden wrote:So how would you fix it?DudeMan2766 wrote:The morning show is awful.

Pick some producer out of a big market that fills in on air; like they did with Gianotti

Get rid of the sports updates every 20 minutes. At most once an hour is enough.

LOL when I get paid to figure that out I'll let you know what I come up with. I've listened and think it's not good. That's where my responsibility endsNed Braden wrote:So how would you fix it?DudeMan2766 wrote:The morning show is awful.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
I agree. Take a day like today, why do you need an update every 20 minutes? For what? This isn't 1995. Its a relic from the days when radio was your only live source of information instead of waiting for a morning paper or the 6PM news.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:Get rid of the sports updates every 20 minutes. I bet if they moved it to every hour some angry yinzers would complain and it would probably outnumber the people who agreed with the decision. So, yeah

You count commercials and those silly updates and every hour has maybe 15 mins of talk time. Radio done in this fashion is a dieing medium but it's run by an old boys club. They're hold on until they're flat broke.

And when 7-8 minutes out of those 15 is useless filler like the birthday game and Yinzer accents/insults....Pavel Bure wrote:You count commercials and those silly updates and every hour has maybe 15 mins of talk time. So in the < 2 months Gianotti's been gone, he's gone to the CFB National Championship for free (well Im assuming getting paid to cover) and today had Alessandra Ambrosio in the studio. Anyone know if he misses da Fan yet?

Now that it's been pointed out I can't get past Fillaponi's speech impediment of using a "CH" sound for "TW"

Posted this in the Pirates' thread too, but I caught the end of Rossi on 93.7 yesterday...
He ended the interview with something like "I have the opinions Pittsburgh needs, but they're the opinions that Pittsburgh doesn't deserve."
He's clearly just trying to get people talking about him because he feels that he's more important than he really is.

It takes a lot for me to want to see someone fired from their job.
I have reached that point.

That sounds like a line Madden sold to him for 20 bucks.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
I turned it on in the middle of the interview, I couldn't turn it off fast enough, I can't listen when he's on. He thinks he's being funny with his shtick, it's just annoying. I really don't think Mueller likes him.jpvs2k6 wrote:Posted this in the Pirates' thread too, but I caught the end of Rossi on 93.7 yesterday...

In fairness, Rossi is right about half of that. We don't deserve to have his crap shoveled on us.

LOLOLOLOLOL. How did Fallon get the Tonight Show and not this guy. No doubt he's one of those "seasons over/plan the parade" people after the very first game of the year. Seems like something he thinks is hysterical.Chris Mueller @ChrisMuellerPGH
Pirates gonna go at least 162-0 and win every game by at least 10 runs. Alvarez and Kang tied for league lead w/ 324 HR's.

Were people calling in to his show to talk about how awesome the Pirates are after yesterday?DudeMan2766 wrote:LOLOLOLOLOL. How did Fallon get the Tonight Show and not this guy.
