I don't know, but this makes me lol...Letang Is The Truth wrote:i think its gonna be pretty hairy around here. already was a little chippy out there driving in
like I'm driving down the road, and got Dubinsky jabbing me with a stick... Jon Scott is over by the gas station just staring at me... and Ovechkin just tried to knee my front right tire.
Damn chippy out here this AM.

Re: The Weather Thread
I'm usually ok driving in this type of weather when it's supposed to tail off. The forecast has conditions getting worse throughout the day. I'm using my first weather day of the year.

3-16 inches should cover all the ranges and then they can say, "We were the first ones with the right prediction! Only on Channel 4 and our Severe Weather Panic Crisis Situation Center!"

Re: The Weather Thread
Final call about 4-8" here. Would absolutely hate to be out driving tonight. It's pouring down rain now, supposed to hard freeze tonight while transitioning to the huge dump of snow we are supposed to get from the pre-dawn hours through mid-day. And then 3 degrees for a low tomorrow night. Going to be a mess.

Absolute destruction in cheat lake. All the marinas have been broken away. The force of moving water is amazingly terrifying

Re: The Weather Thread
You are in Philly, no? Should change to snow in the wee morning hours near you (3 or 4 AM or so)...after that, it is going to snow a lot. It's going down to 12 tomorrow night, so a lot of cold air moving in.mikey287 wrote:I'll tell ya, it's 9:30 at night here and it's 44 degrees...if it's gonna snow, it better get moving temperature wise...shafnutz05 wrote:Final call about 4-8" here. I'm about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh.. maybe an inch or so of wet snow outside, but other than that.. nada. Don't think we will see much accumulation.

Basement is now flooding...not severe, about 12 square feet of carpet is pretty squishy. I have the fan, dehumidifier, and wet-dry vac running. The ground is frozen above, and the water is pooling outside my basement. There is absolutely nothing I can do tonight, the ground is rock solid.

Re: The Weather Thread
haha thanks man, this year seriously sucks so much. I came downstairs to get nice and cozy and watch the Pens on the couch, and I suddenly realize I am stepping on soaking wet carpet. Such is life, I suppose.PensFanInDC wrote:Jeez dude. Im really sorry.shafnutz05 wrote:Basement is now flooding...not severe, about 12 square feet of carpet is pretty squishy. Yay homeownership? This is the stuff I fear when we buy an older home.
