Re: Your irrational pet peeves
I usually don't stick around in the phone that long as it is so frustrating to me when people can't get off the phone (they have to get the last word) so I just say ok thanks bye and hang up

This is a big one with me. I hate answering machines. I have 41 messages from the last few days that I have to listen to. I mean, come on. Who invented this BS. I sometimes don't even pick up the phone because I want people to leave me alone. I'd rather have people just sent me an email I can quickly glance at.

When I show someone a YouTube video that I find hilarious and they don't find funny at all and just think about what videos they want to show me when the one I picked is done

At work, we don't even have traditional voice mail boxes anymore; a wav file of the message is emailed to us in Outlook.Sarcastic wrote:This is a big one with me. I hate answering machines. I personally actually never setup my voicemail box at work. Find my e-mail in the directory.Sarcastic wrote:This is a big one with me. I hate answering machines. Re: Your irrational pet peeves
People at work have removed any desire to ever talk on the phone again. Just way to much story telling, explanations on why I need to help them, general never getting to the point.
You called and need something - tell me and end the call... don't give me the backstory as to why you need me to help you when I've already agreed to do so.
I've been on 45 minute calls of this kind of crap. To the point where I just don't answer the phone now.

Door bells in commercials!
The little dog at home starts. Then, dog two and three. Dog three has a baritone bark that rattles windows.
If I ever meet the wise guy that put that door bell in the commercial selling dryer sheets, I think dog three has a bark made just for the occasion.

Yes, I paid only $200 for a 37" TV a year and a half ago, but I'd expect it to last longer than that. Woke up this morning and there's no picture, just sound. Apparently this happens a lot with this brand.

insignia. I've read online a few possible fixes that involve me borrowing the multimeter from work and doing some inspections. Last time I let my wife buy a TV. lol

Happened on my parents TV one time, put a new HDMI cable on it and it was fine.count2infinity wrote:Yes, I paid only $200 for a 37" TV a year and a half ago, but I'd expect it to last longer than that.
