Glad I'm not the only one that does this...

Flyers and Patriots mostly...there are other dislikes, even harsh dislikes...but these two take the cake...and their respective fanbases do little to smooth things over...

For me it's the fanbases that make me loathe them, followed by the team.

This thread brought to you by Buzzfeed. It's literally a list of lists, that duplicate old lists.

This. Caps fans are terrible. Then again...so are pens fans.

Well its the reason I dislike the Cowboys, their fans make it so easy. I definitely respect the franchise though.

I couldn't imagine living in DC and dealing with craps fans, they act as if they're the greatest thing to happen since sliced bread (Unless you're a gluten girl)

If I had to pick one from each league:

- Yankees
- Cavaliers
- Flyers
- Patriots
- NY Red Bulls
- Manchester United
- Bayern Munich
- Dynamo Moscow
- NCAAFB - Ohio State, Penn State, Florida State
- NCAAMBB - Duke

Most of the ones on this list are probably pretty common to hate, especially Man U. I remember watching Man U years ago, while Ronaldo was there and it was probably the first EPL game I had watched the whole way through and I just remember thinking "man, the only thing on the ground more than Man U was the grass..." and it just went from there.

1) DC = Greatest city in the country
2) Caps fans aren't all bad, they just have their more than fair share of yinzer-like fans, who don't pay attention year-round, then act like mentioned above. Most of the time, Caps fans believe, in line with other sport teams in the city, that they are cursed.

Can't stand the Ravens, Harbaugh and Flacco have replaced Ray Ray as completely unlikeable figureheads.

Flyers and Caps aren't really relevant and the Bruins are heading that way too. I don't think it will be hard to start hating the Islanders though.

Can't stand the Reds, Brewers and Cardinals. The dislike level is variable and I can't really pin down the most disliked at this particular point in time.

Yeah...this city sucks. I know I don't live there but my brother does and I used to spend a lot of time down there. Unless you are into the 14th and U kind of crowd the nightlife is terrible. Adams Morgan has become a dump, downtown is all politicians and lawyers drinking at places like Old Ebbit Grill (very nice restaurant though...), Georgetown....come to think of it most of DC nightlife is full of over privileged white people.

The Mall and Museums? Well...you got me there. The Smithsonian Institute is pretty freakin' sweet. The monuments are amazing. And then you live here and see them all the time and they lose almost all of their charm.

DC sucks and I can't wait to be out of this area. I bequeath my share in the city and area to you npv...

First, even when I was in school, I thought Adams Morgan sucked. Not my scene.

I know when it comes to all things "cool" I always turn to Forbes, so http://www.forbes.com/sites/erincarlyle ... st-cities/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There is literally everything to do in this city. You have insanely good restaurants, world-class museums as PFIDC mentioned, everything you could imagine if you enjoy fitness/sports, most literate and educated city in the country, which means you can have discussions with most people about pressing matters and they don't look at you like you speak French.

That's not even getting into my favorite part of this city, which is the politics, policy, and the history.

You can't really walk anywhere in this city without being where something historically significant occurred and if you work in the right field, you can actually get to be a part of that, even in some insignificant way.

You are definitely right, it's definitely not the District of the 80s and 90s that was much more inclusive of those born and raised here, but what has been lost with domestic diversity has very much been replaced with international diversity.

Flyers ... in a class by themselves.

In other sports, my dislike for teams is generally based upon personalities of key personnel. To wit:

Harbaugh
The other Harbaugh
Jerry Jones
Steinbrenner (RIP)
Pete Carroll
Rex Ryan

Reds
Ravens
Flyers
Don't care enough about NBA to hate a team, but I'd actively cheer against the Celtics and Knicks
Arsenal

I don't hate any NCAA teams really. I find it silly to do so, but that may be because PSU doesn't have any real rivals.

What I have discovered is that I am not a DC person in any way shape or form. My brother is though. 100%. Dude loves living down there (Columbia Heights).

I'm good for 1 trip to DC a year and the wife and I have made it a tradition. We take off the Friday before Memorial Day every year and go down to see some museums, the zoo, the mall, monuments, etc. We try and do things we have never done but that is tough to do when you've lived here for 34 years.

yeah...really don't. football, wrestling, women's volleyball, and now a lot of people are into hockey (who knows if that'll last though). Those are the ones that are important to the large majority of the student population.
