The Civil War still seems to be something that lingers in the minds of southerners, while for northerners it's like, "it's over, deal with it."

The butterflies that precede the first time I check hockey scores to see how many fantasy teams are doing every night.

Getting someone's voicemail when I make a call that I don't want to have to make but I've already put it off too long.

I did the reverse. Despite being my day off, I had my alarm set early for a delivery this morning. Alarm app crashed, but the delivery guy had sent me an e-mail saying he has to postpone a day. So an extra hour of sleep and the cosmos aligned to make it have no consequences.

Happiness is not a warm gun. Happiness is a clean gun, redolent with the classic scent of Hoppe's #9.

IIRC, the appropriate bet would be Lennon vs. Charter Arms. And you'd still lose.
