Not sure why this is still posted but I am a proponent of tater tots I was at a bar in Brooklyn, I forget the name, but they served tater tots with a buffalo burger -- made of buffalo meat, it wasn't like a buffalo wing type thing -- and it was awesome. Also they had $2.00 PBRs. Awesome. It was right next to the North Six.

Pitts says:-
PIG TREATS
Everybody loves Tots & I'm not kidding!
BIRD TREATS
There's a restaurant in Boston (forget the name) but it serves Tater Tots with crab! I guess they're trying to class them up a little. Either that or they know there's a secret league of Tot lovers out there who wanna see 'em on their plate!
I like them dipped in horseradish.
Pitts, no worries, your eating binge is safe with us. Maybe you'll be the 2007 champs...Last Saturday, My 6 year old son and I were the only ones home for dinner. So, we baked up a huge batch of tots and ate them all! Nothing else ... just tots!

from the fine folks at wikipedia... (just a snippet, not the whole article)
"History
Tater Tots were first produced in 1953 by Golden and Nephi Grigg of the Ore-Ida company, now a subsidiary of H. J. Heinz Company, as a means of utilizing potato shreds remaining from french fry production. On their second try they mastered the "tots", the first attempt being a potato based beverage. They first became available in stores in 1954. Today Americans consume approximately 70 million pounds of "Tots" per year."
