Agreed. All conference champions, no matter the conference, should be in the field of 64 and none of this "First Four" garbage.

Sorry, not a foul. Defender had returned to the floor and was still in his 'space' when the Boise player tried to initiate the contact to get the cheap call.
I agree, but that is called a foul 99 times out of a 100

If UAB somehow manages to beat Iowa State my bracket is already destroyed.

UAB won. I had Iowa St in the finals in my one bracket and the elite 8 in the other.

I had Iowa State in the Final Four and Sweet Sixteen. Luckily everyone else in my bracket had them winning at least 2 games, so I might be okay.

I'm going tonight but there were a ton of Groupons out for the tourney. Once it was clear that even if Pitt made it they would not have a strong enough seed to stay home, especially.

I think NC State/LSU should be good. Otherwise the matchups are kind of meh on paper.

It ended up being a solid crowd, it just took some time for people to trickle in. And I officially hate Big 12 basketball.

Holy Toledo

I had both Baylor and ISU in Sweet 16 and losing. Would not have thought that would be a good thing but it might be.

Not the first time ISU has gagged big time in the first round.

Two Sweet 16s and a Final Four. I had a hard time picking any upsets and now this happens.

I think the refs got the goaltending right, but I hate that they bailed out an awful decision and even worse shot.

With the qualifier in the rule book that the shot must have a legitimate chance of going through the hoop for it to be goaltending, it was a horrible call. That was a brick and was never going in.

It could've bounced up. I'm not saying it was a good call, but by the letter of the law, its an understandable one. If it happens with 14 minutes left in the first, its not even talked about. The timing is what makes it more than what it is

Pretty crazy having two of your Elite eight teams gone on the first day, before 7PM. I will never pick a Big 12 team to advance beyond the Sweet 16 outside of Kansas ever again.

To me, it looked like that shot was heading on a downward trajectory to make an impact with the lower half of the front of the rim. It would take a zoomed in, frame by frame shot to confirm that, but if that is where the impact would have occurred, it would take an aberration of physics for the ball to bounce upward. Not saying that's correct, but that is how I see it and what I am basing my opinion on. Regardless, not being able to review that call during the most critical moment of the game seems asinine to me.

Kansas tends to underachieve in the tournament as well.

Not something you see everyday:

9 minutes into the harvard/unc game, unc has points from 8 different players to harvards 1.

Harvard putting up a fight... tied right now. Canaan will lose it if UNC goes down in the first round.
