it'll be vapes, not joints anyways. friends i have in philly say that it's already like that now, since it's decriminalized there. not much reason for combustion when vape pens are available.

With all of these states moving in this direction I can't see it not being legal nearly nationwide in less than a decade. Probably sooner.

As long as you're not buying the cheap stuff they sell at 7-11 then your e-liquids will contain four ingredients

Either a Propylyne Glycol or Vegetable Glycol base
nicotine (or in this case THC oil)
Water
Flavorings (if you so choose)

Where is the formaldehyde?

From your article:

Conley says the researchers found formaldehyde only when the e-cigarettes were cranked up to their highest voltage levels.

Peyton acknowledges that he found no formaldehyde when the e-cigarettes were set at low levels.

I use an e-cig and it has no "voltage level" dial or setting. I've never even heard of that before, although it obviously exists.

It also doesn't say which brand they used and, as I mentioned, if you use the cheap stuff from 7-11 you very well may get a bad product. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for.

so is the idea that the high voltage causes actual combustion, which causes some transformation from natural ingredients into formaldehyde? i wouldn't love that it's even a possibility. if i was weening off of cigarettes, i'd definitely look into a dry herb vape.

also, there is no data showing that smoking weed causes lung cancer. cancer rates are actually lower in pot smokers than non-smokers...though only slightly. basically the same.

Near me would be if I am breathing in the smoke or vapor in any capacity. Again, if I willingly go to a place, ex. bar, that I know has it I don't get peeved.

You. There haven't been many studies, or enough for them to link lung cancer yet. They were however able to link, chronic bronchitis and many other respiratory illnesses to it so far.
