The standard is the standard. Shredded on third and long several times in the Lions first drive. I know it's just pre season but this has been a problem for years, not being able to consistently stop third and 6+.
Thank God Harrison isn't human and had a stripped fumble to stop the drive.

Based on tonight's first half effort, would think the Steelers will be watching who gets cut this week from the other 31 teams.

Earlier in the pre-season, Tomlin used the phrase "big-time negligence" to describe the Steelers after a rather pathetic performance. He will need to dig deep into the thesaurus to come up description for this game (so far).

Two questionable PI calls on us and Brown has been abused three times after and nothing.

Bengals got screwed on that fumble. Everyone knows he was down but you could never see the ball when his knee was down to overturn it. Shame.

Sometimes your team gets the call, sometimes not. There were several penalties calls missed. Oh well, move on.
It's certainly made my day to get this call against the Bengals - they will not move on. They will be whining about this game/call, off and on, until Dec 18.

> Certainly an odd defensive strategery displayed so far this year from what we are used to. Blitzing non-existent. 3 or 4 man rush with some pressure, but not getting to the q-back. Young secondary playing off the receivers. Letting everything go underneath. But 2 wins. Who's to argue?

Interesting predictions from enemy territory (Philly) on the Steelers- Eagles match-up. Actually a good scouting report.

Horrible call on Timmons. Wasn't dangerous and the guy was was trying to get extra yards. NFL is a joke.

Should have been a 15 yard roughing the punter.

Not sure how that isn't a touchdown and pass interference but OK.

Rather lose like that than a squeaker where Ben bails out the defense for a respectable loss. Offense will rebound. Time for the defense to not let that game be the playbook for running up scores on the Steelers.
Eagles don't play Ravens and Bengals until December. By then they'll have ten key injuries that make them mortal and easily beatable.

Glad I missed this game. I listened to alot of it on the Eagles network, they seemed surprised at times in what they were watching...

A road loss to the NFC in September is at the top of the meh scale. Just fix what's wrong please going forward.
And maybe Philly is good?
