Re: Official 2016-2017 Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Was way too nervous for the Miami game today. It sure why but it didn't feel safe until we hit 30 points and even then I kept thinking 18 points in 1:37 isn't possible...or is it?
Next week should be a good game.

And Ben hurt his ankle because Haley, in a 30-12 game late in the 4th decides passing the ball would be smart.
Can't hurt your ankle handing the ball off to Williams. Even better, Landry Jones handing the ball off to Williams ensures Ben doesn't get hurt.
Haley and Tomlin would be the only two guys to keep this team from the AFC championship game.

Nice write-up by the NY Times.
First line of the story:"The Miami Dolphins won the coin toss Sunday and kicked off to the Pittsburgh Steelers, a decision that in retrospect seemed a tad misguided."

Of course Ben will play Sunday against the Chiefs. He may or may not be hobbled, but he will play. Localized medication is a wonderful thing. Plus he's a tough guy. But why or why put Ben and the team in that position? I am sure Tomlin and Haley will come up with some half-baked platitude in response the question.

Not to mention the fact that New England will have an entire 24-36 hours more of preparation for this week's game. No matter who wins between the Stillers and Chefs, they will be at huge disadvantage in preps for next week. Once again, the NFL fudges it up again because of two things....money and ratings.

Only the %$@@^ Patriots. A career, 3rd string, nobody (sorry Dion, Hail PITT) becomes the first player to score on a rush, reception and kickoff in playoff history? Are you freaking kidding me?
I swear Bellichek and Brady made deals with the devil.
~end sour grapes rant~
By the way, congrats Mr. Lewis.

Acho, who played off-and-on for the Eagles before ultimately being waived during the 2015 season, took to Twitter after the Patriots game to blast the Eagles for thinking he was worth trading away Lewis for.
“Someone needs to be fired for that,” Acho, currently a sports anchor for the Longhorn Network, said. “He’s a beast!”

Pissed away 4 points already. Y not making the simple play call. 2nd and 2 on the 5 and you try passes.
Going snatch defeat from the jaws of victory playing like that.

Two FG now for two red zone trips. This will be a reason this team can't win. Needs to get TD's. Been a problem for a while.

Kelce could totally win this for Kc. Have to come up with a solution.

This team has had a lot of problems for a while with a good TE. He's the only guy who scares me.ejd43 wrote:Kelce could totally win this for Kc. Have to come up with a solution.

You would have to think year after year of getting burned by tight ends they would come up with some sort of game plan. Although I did like them jamming kelce on the second to last pass play of that drive. Just bump enough to throw his timing off.DelPen wrote:This team has had a lot of problems for a while with a good TE. He's the only guy who scares me.ejd43 wrote:Kelce could totally win this for Kc.
