Yeah I was wrong on both counts. At 3-1, the refs do their thing.

That wasn't a penalty for the first 18 minutes of the period both sides were doing a lot of Detroit Interference.Durbano wrote:Yeah I was wrong on both counts. At 3-1, the refs do their thing.

Forget winning the Cup back to back, it’s hard just to get to the finals two years in a row. Wings did it, Pens did it twice, Hawks and Kings two out of three years so that’s close. Nashville was dominant all year and everyone’s cup favorite, they might not survive the second round.

They’ve only had a team for 30 months now. Take it easy.Faubert5 wrote:Tired of the team's antics and their announcers and their media.Humperdink wrote:Hoping for a Jet win. Tired of Nashville's (fan's) anticsFaubert5 wrote:Steve wrote:Preds in full flop mode so far...
That's pretty routine for them.
Recall the days when the Jet's predecessor's were called Lose-a-peg.

What are the chances Winnipeg gets a power play in the third?

Rinne....smh. Pulled 4 times in 2 rounds and, more importantly, in the first period of a Game 7, what happened to him?
Jets looking pretty strong overall and have so far this post-season, but didn't see this series being about how bad Rinne would be and Hellebuyck being so much better.

I don't think their fans even realized that their team was on a delayed penalty on the first one.Faubert5 wrote:Tired of the team's antics and their announcers and their media.Humperdink wrote:Hoping for a Jet win. Took a walking tour of downtown Nashville last Thanksgiving in Penguin gear. A good time. The locals had a few months to recover, but were clearly not over it.DelPen wrote:They’ve only had a team for 30 months now. True. And not to beat it to death (from my recent post in the Postmortem thread) but in fairness to Nashville, this is an extremely difficult second-round match-up.DelPen wrote:Forget winning the Cup back to back, it’s hard just to get to the finals two years in a row. Penguins went through the Caps twice so you have to be really good to do this.Durbano wrote:True. Nashville not exactly putting up a huge fight. Or maybe Winnipeg is just doing a great job limiting their chances.

If I'm not mistaken, the last time a Canadian team won the Cup was the year after Pittsburgh won back-to-back Cups.

Re: Other NHL Games
I could live with that. My spouse grew up in Nashville but was born in Chicago. Not a big hockey fan but roots for the Pens for the mental health of her husband and two sons. She wants any team BUT Nashville to win it.Humperdink wrote:Spouse just chimed in ..... wants a Canadian team to win it this year.

Man I would have lost money on that penalty being called at that point.

Winnipeg earned the win but Rinne did not give his team a chance.
Go Tampa. Please.
