Minnesota Wild are having a Native American Heritage Night, and MAF got a mask made especially for this night/game, as his wife is native. The NHL has told Fleury he cannot wear the mask, even in warmups.
Fleury was prepared to accept and pay the fine, however, the NHL has now threatened a significant fine towards the Minnesota Wild.

Has the NHL seen the Blackhawks logo?? They are their own worst enemy.

Does the text on the mask translate to Minnesota Wild?

I'm so glad Fleury told the league to shove it and wore it anyway. Let them fine him now and make the league look even worse.

“Minnesota” is derived from the Dakota phrase Mni Sota Makoce, Land Where the Waters Reflect the Clouds.
