Agree about Graves. However, he really needs to hit the weight room hard in the off season.

Gruden sent down. Shea recalled...I guess we need 7 d men up, but would much rather see a recall of Poulin or Ponomarev.

Shea recalled, that’s 3 of 4 callups used. Criminal roster management

DK now says 1st round pick be damned! He thinks the Pens should try to make the playoffs. I mean what has this team shown the last 2 seasons that would lead him to believe that they will go on some 14-5 run to end the season? C'mon DK.

Madden is firing on all 8 cylinders.
When the season ends, HCMS should be gone. Until then, we’re going to see more peewee hockey like last night.
Eyes on the prize, Penguin fans - a great lottery pick.

They aren't making the playoffs. Period. Not with this team.KG wrote: Wed Mar 13, 2024 9:03 amDK now says 1st round pick be damned! He thinks the Pens should try to make the playoffs. I haven't laughed as hard for awhile after watching last nights overtime. Letang was legendary. Geno 3 on 3 is hysterical.

I think you have to be able to score a few goals once in a while to even have a shot at playoffs.Badger Bob wrote: Wed Mar 13, 2024 9:16 amThey aren't making the playoffs. Period. They should try to make the playoffs, just like I should try to buy that $500K RV with a helicopter pad and hot tub on the roof. Both results are equally possible but why not keep trying?KG wrote: Wed Mar 13, 2024 9:03 amDK now says 1st round pick be damned! He thinks the Pens should try to make the playoffs. I can't confirm if this is correct or not, but KD did say we should expect to see Ponomarev up sooner than later.DelPen wrote: Tue Mar 12, 2024 5:26 pmShea recalled, that’s 3 of 4 callups used. Criminal roster management

Re: Random Penguins Fodder
If FSG's position is they don't want to pay Sully millions to not coach the team, I don't see it being an issue. They should look at it like this. Let Sully out of his contract, let him sign with the Leafs or Devils or whoever. Pens are then off the hook for the remainder of the contract as long as it's the same amount or more than what his existing salary is (I believe). Then we bring in a coach that will most likely cost half of what Sullivan's extension will cost on an annual basis.
Looks like a 50% savings to me at the end of the day!
You also can make the argument that every home playoff the Pens don't have, FSG is losing that revenue. The rumor used to be it was $1million per playoff game, back in the day. Bottom line is you can't let the coaches contract get in the way of trying to improve your team.

No reason at all he shouldn't be in a Pens sweater for the Sharks game... except that 39-year-old Jeff Carter will be in one. Guess Sully will sit one of the younger guys, including Pool Party, who should be getting a full look.

We’re missing something important. There need to be slogans for the team’s plummet to the bottom of the standings. Family board friendly, of course.
“Play like a weenie for Celebrini”.

Re: Random Penguins Fodder
There is zero cap space for any more recalls. Retaining salary unnecessarily on Guentzel made sure that happened.

It is not a horrible idea. Maybe someone will pick him up. If not, maybe it wakes his ass up heading into the summer.

This can’t be good for the “Geno sucks” crowd. Sid can’t play with Geno’s **** wingers. It should be criminal what these GM’s give Geno to work with each season. It should be even more
Criminal what Sully does every time one of Sid’s wingers gets hurt during the season as he poaches from Geno.

GM show KD with Getzoff...
Says Poulin and Ponomarev are both pushing and could be up before the season ends.

Re: Random Penguins Fodder
Again, I ask with all sincerity, WITH WHAT **** CAP SPACE IS ANYONE GETTING CALLED UP?
And what happens if Nieto ever wants to come off LTIR? It would almost have to be Puljujarvi that’s waived to clear that cap space.
