Now that the Leafs are out (again) there are already talks about if they will move Marner and if Dubas would have interest. Marner just turned 27, RW had 85 points in 69 games. Didn't have a great playoff so they may look to move him since he 1 year away from being a UFA.

Pens don't necessarily need him, but it all depends on the cost to acquire. He would certainly help our power play and provide some needed skill to the top 6. No idea what a trade would look like but Toronto is in win now mode so I don't think they will want all futures, nor should the Pens move them.

Maybe a Karlsson + for Marner trade makes sense? I think Toronto was one of the few teams that were in on Karlsson this past summer. Toronto is said to be looking for more mobility from their blueline.

Now that's just plain mean. You don't need to enroll for AARP to play for the Penguins. The last two GM's were card carrying discount soup buffet members at Sizzler. The new GM probably doesn't know the difference between a consommé and bisque. In the interview process, a staff member should ask any potential player if they have a preference. If they answer Campbell's soup is good, push them forward in the process.

The Rangers are 16th out of the 16 playoff teams in 5 on 5 goals in the regular season but they are now 6-0 in the playoffs largely because their power play comes through for them (and they have a great goalie that covers a lot of their defensive issues).

Dubas needs to hire a power play whisperer on the coaching staff and bring in a shooter and can finish. Stamkos would be perfect.

I think we've got enough pieces for a good PP. How those pieces are put together and how they then play is the problem.
