I'm going Edmonton. Really wanted Florida, but they really seem like they lost their mojo and Bob has been swiss cheese lately.

I think Maurice is out of ideas and the Panthers are haunted by last year’s spanking.

I'm going with EDM. They showed earlier in the season how they can be practically unstoppable and they are red-hot again at the right time. FL had their chances to finish off the Oilers and couldn't and now look very similar to how they did in last year's SCF vs. Vegas: tired and just don't have enough left.

Florida has an Elephant on its back and a Vulture staring at them in their Locker Room right now.
ESPN calling this "one of the most important games in NHL History." SMH.
With all the stories ready to put McDavid ahead of All Time Great Players and the Cup going to a Canadian Team I'm going against the grain tonight and picking Florida 3 Edmonton 1.Panthers get an early goal and find a way to keep them from going down the wrong way in history.

Re: Who Wins the Cup tonight?
Florida remembers how to play **** hockey and wins big.
But I hate that someone has to win. Oilers have squandered decades of top picks and prospects and deserve nothing. They should be in the same tier as the Pens and Hawks for Cups in the cap era.
And then there’s Tkachuk. Giant baby who also deserves nothing.

Interestingly enough, I heard that Bob was not at morning skate. Would be an excellent curve ball to throw Edmonton.

Re: Who Wins the Cup tonight?
Panthers power play has been non-existent this series. Huge chance here.

The Oil have been taking advantage of the Florida Defense since Game 4.They are finding ways to get them in trouble coming at them with speed entering the Zone. With Bobrovsky looking shaky they are asking for it unless they tighten it up.

Re: Who Wins the Cup tonight?
Is it just me or has this series seemed pretty tame especially after the first few games. Last round it looked like both series would end up killing someone. This has been meh.

Re: Who Wins the Cup tonight?
Had Evander Kane played at all for Edmonton during this series it likely would have been more combative.DelPen wrote: Mon Jun 24, 2024 8:58 pmIs it just me or has this series seemed pretty tame especially after the first few games. The lack of familiarity between these teams plays a part too IMHO.
