So, let's see if any of those players get announced in the next 24 hours.

Anaheim is going to have to make some signings here...they are almost 9 mil under the floor. Only 4 defensemen on the big roster signed currently.

No word on watch the condition is for the 2025 5th, but if it is something not likely to be reached, the Pens will see nothing from this trade until 2027.

Re: Random Penguins Fodder
5 goals in 60 games on 3 teams.
Put him with Geno. We're getting to the ECF
NYR have two 5th rounders that year, their own an Minnesota's. Whichever is a lower pick, will be coming to us.Sigwolf wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2024 2:40 pmNo word on watch the condition is for the 2025 5th, but if it is something not likely to be reached, the Pens will see nothing from this trade until 2027.

Send Karlsson there. Fixes the problem. If you're gonna rebuild, REBUILD.Pruezy11881 wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2024 2:39 pmAnaheim is going to have to make some signings here...they are almost 9 mil under the floor. Only 4 defensemen on the big roster signed currently.

He put up 5 goals in 60 games. So we just replaced Reilly's production?
Where's he gonna play?

Re: Random Penguins Fodder
The 2027 pick is an asset that can be traded at any time, so I'm not too concerned about that. And. we're not going anywhere anytime soon anyways.Sigwolf wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2024 2:40 pmNo word on watch the condition is for the 2025 5th, but if it is something not likely to be reached, the Pens will see nothing from this trade until 2027.

A lot of bad contracts being handed out today. Lucky we didn't have more cap space to get into more trouble!

I’m good with that. Fully buriable in WBS.
Edit. Almost. It’s actually $1.25 million.

Re: Random Penguins Fodder
Fine...guessing he will be 3rd line RW and Puustinen is 4th RW or extra forward.
We need a top 6 forward.

We certainly do.KG wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2024 2:47 pmFine...guessing he will be 3rd line RW and Puustinen is 4th RW or extra forward.
We need a top 6 forward.
I also view Hayes and Eller as both being capable 3rd line guys if their minutes are managed so we will probably see the bottom 6 get an equal amount of ice time which is good. We have enough decent wings to play that way too.

Wouldn’t mind a big trade sending EK out to a contender and getting back a young top 6 forward. I think it’s obvious that EK has to go. We are not building a competitor and EK isn’t part of the core.

Sullivan favorite Sprong is still out there
Seriously though, on the UFA market there is slim pickins for top 6 wings. Skinner, Tarasenko, Roslovic??
