Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
The WR could had caught it but actively let it drop when he saw Fitzpatrick coming in and braced himself for a hit instead. And no head contact. Total garbage call.

Carved up by Joe Flacco. Coach Tomlin teams vs under .500 record teams is shining through again. This team has no weapons on offense. Backs and WR are average at best. OL below average. QBs last 5 years way below average. Have not done a good job drafting. Diontae Johnson flourishing in Carolina now with a real QB like he did with Ben.

Maybe Alex Highsmith is that important to the defense.

Fields started bad again but played really good end of first and most of the 2nd half. Pickens needs to be better.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Giving up 27 points to the Colts is bad for this defense.
It was good to see Fields move the ball in obvious passing situations, but 4 sacks, a fumble lost and lack of concentration at the end with the snaps are sort of on brand for him.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
The OL has 2 rookies, 2 2nd year guys and Dan Moore. Not to absolve Fields but I'd rather have this discussion now and hope they go away by December (I think he'll be QB1 then) and especially by next season. Yes it's a huge problem, but Arthur Smith has to coach through some pretty awful habits he got in Chicago. He seems to be going through his progressions better, seems to get the ball out quicker (for the most part) and seems more decisive when it's time to run.pfim wrote: Mon Sep 30, 2024 11:04 amGiving up 27 points to the Colts is bad for this defense.

I can see him as the next QB of the future for the Steelers.

Pathetic by Connor Heyward to not come down with a ball that was in his hands.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Fields clearly got the ball back before Dallas had control. Only an idiot would challenge but based on NFL review it’s 50/50 they win this.

Defense going to lose this game sometime tomorrow morning. No way I’m staying up until after 1 to see if Tomlin figures out how to coach

And we have false starts on a WR and RB. What does this team practice?

Or maybe not not. Just quadruple team Watt and throw it wherever and everyone else is stupid on defense.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
I’d have been so mad had I stayed up to have the game end like that.
Fields is not the problem and we need another WR badly even if it’s throwing in Roman Wilson as an option. Harris and Pickens don’t back up their attitude and that’s a problem. Had any other RB been healthy the last 6 quarters this team is still undefeated.
And between Pickens and Jones looks like Georgia isn’t where you go to actually become a smart player.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
At this point reading Pickens for a different #1 might just make things better if it was a guy who’s more mature and a leader. I have no idea of the character of some of these guys but I don’t think a guy like Hines Ward is out there so probably just getting an older ******* that has some experience to know when to not be a full blown *******.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Yikes, this boy has no filter and by boy I mean a male person with the temperament of a 13 year old. I said it earlier, between him and Jones it looks like Georgia never tried molding these boys into men. They both do selfish and stupid things without considering the ramifications to the team. I don’t follow college football because I thinks it’s stupid (and has nothing to do with me going to Delaware just before Flacco was there and they were kind of good for a while), is this just two guys who went to the same school being clowns, are there more UGA players out there that have similar attitudes or is this just how almost all young players are now?
