Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Looks like another dumbass game plan for the 1st quarter. If Arthur Smith can learn to script better he’d be the best OC in probably the past 2 decades. That’s a glaring weakness so far.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
The ref could have controlled the game right there. Give Eagles and Steelers penalties with the next time ejection thing and move on. But nope, punish Washington because he kept blocking too long.DelPen wrote: Sun Dec 15, 2024 4:54 pmHow the **** did the eagles not get anything there to offset?

Me neither, it was a bad call but I’m sure the Steelers will get an apology on Wednesday.DelPen wrote: Sun Dec 15, 2024 5:00 pmI didn’t see a flag until #27 threw a punch.Daniel wrote: Sun Dec 15, 2024 4:56 pmThe ref could have controlled the game right there. And that’s why you don’t commit a ton of money a RB.

Down by 2 TD in the 4th. How about throwing the ball?

And Watt gets his almost annual injury that will take him out of games when they matter to still never win a playoff game this season.

I’m diagnosing a high ankle sprain for Watt. I’m sending the Steelers my bill.

22’s fumble and coach’s decision on 4th & 7 when D was exhausted loom large in my eyes as to how this half/game was lost. Really disappointing to see a close game absolutely pissed away in such a manner. Obviously neither were sure things but they were certainly game-altering.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
The refs didn't help either. You can see the ball clearly leaving after Heyward gets slapped. That and the double personal foul that should have been offsetting penalties, which possibly cost the Steelers a TD. I'm sure the Steelers will get yet another letter or two from the NFL.DelPen wrote: Sun Dec 15, 2024 7:26 pmThe fumble just killed the game.Liverlips wrote: Sun Dec 15, 2024 7:23 pm22’s fumble and coach’s decision on 4th & 7 when D was exhausted loom large in my eyes as to how this half/game was lost. Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
No way this should have been a double personal foul. If Slay doesn't punch Washington there is no penalty at all.

I guess rule 12, article 11 would imply that if the officials and league ruled punches were thrown, players would be ejected. Not a great situation to eject Slay and Mitchell in the first quarter of the game. Still could have ruled offsetting and moved on.

I agree and it's weird they didn't call that. The NFL actually denies there were punches thrown, what a joke.Southern Fan wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 9:39 amI guess rule 12, article 11 would imply that if the officials and league ruled punches were thrown, players would be ejected. 17 officiating crews in the NFL. 16 are assigned games this week. Want to guess which crew doesn’t get a game this week?

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Okay, I need to plan my Christmas day meal. Is the kickoff of the Christmas game actually at 12 noon (as opposed to when TV coverage begins)?
