Lizotte was doing a great job on the forecheck but needs to be more careful.
He's gotta know the refs are gonna call any little mistake and he was a bit too aggressive. Totally unnecessary penalty.
It’s ridiculous that a player needs to consciously be aware of the score and how many penalties have already been called in order to know if they need to play differently in the first 5 minutes of a game compared to the last 5.
It certainly is ridiculous, but that’s the NHL. It’s always been that bad.

As good as it was getting points on the road against Panthers and Canes this one was not acceptable.

What a BS loss. How many years are we going to watch this team constantly blow multi-goal games and nothing ever changes?

It is clearly a system and coaching issue. Look at a team like LA, they make their average goalies look like all-stars, because they play a strong defensive game. Pens are still trying to run and gun and out-score you.

Enough with the SOS coaching strategies.

Another pathetic performance in the shoot out. Another blown 2 goal lead. Rinse and repeat

Another game that Jarry blew. Horrible clear behind the net gave them goal 2 and who here knew for a fact he would come up small in the shoot out. Horrible

We are 1-2-3 in the 6 games since the holiday break. Not nearly good enough.

Very frustrating loss.

Great game from Rakell. Why not use him in the shootout?

Jarry has got to go. Even if it means retaining some of that money.
He simply doesn't have it. He can be a serviceable backup in spurts, but he is clearly not starting material.

Another 3rd Period 2 Goal Lead for the Sullivan "System" gets squandered.
Jarry took a solid game and flushed it with a turnover,no reaction goal and non competitive shootout. He is the face of these losses where they spit it up late.
Sid had another great game with Rakell right there in line, both were terrific.
The fact that the Checking Line is still using Nieto and Acciari offers no result defensively again.
Puljujarvi was Good and seemed to get DOC going with him out on that Line.

The Officials definitely played a big part in this game with 2 Weak Penalties that led to Goals Against but the continued method of handing these leads over is on this Top 2-3 Coach and his inability to figure out how to correct it.

I’m certain this Puljujarvi’s fault. He was solid, I thought, but he’ll be the first scratch. Lizotte is the only plus player on the roster and he’s stuck with two anchors on the fourth line.

How is coaching never perceived as an issue with this organization, especially with the consistent and predictable meltdowns?

I'm sorry but if I was the coach there is no way I am playing Jarry again until a backup is needed in a back to back scenario. At least Ned battles and makes big saves. Jarry is just a dud. Deflates the team.

SOS it's been for several years. KD should try to trade Jarry for Gibson or something. We need to get rid of him.
