We should be wearing the corporate pigeon jersey playing the Caps in their eagle jerseys.

Couldn't track that puck, thought it went in off a deflection too. Guess Blomqvist couldn't find it either.

Seems fine on my end.
Commentary seems about 10 years out of date, but it synchs up

I understand not wanting to throw Bloom in right away, but saving him for this game isn't doing him any favors either.

Well he won last time in Washington. He’ll be fine. The only goal was a deflection he had covered if it stayed on target.BurghThing wrote: Sat Jan 18, 2025 7:43 pmI understand not wanting to throw Bloom in right away, but saving him for this game isn't doing him any favors either.

Behind 1-0, still salvageable. Need Blomqvist to be on point and offense to start lighting that lamp quick and often.

Re: Official GDT: Pens @ Caps 1/18/25
Dejan pointed out last night that, although they won against Buffalo, they didn't particularly play well. They got 3 PP goals, which is out of the norm. Other than those goals, they didn't look very solid for most of the night. Outshot 42-19, and out attempted like 87-28.
Seems like it is continuing into tonight. Not much of "following a game plan or executing a system."

So, is it the players, or the coach?FLPensFan wrote: Sat Jan 18, 2025 7:54 pmDejan pointed out last night that, although they won against Buffalo, they didn't particularly play well. The Caps coach has to be up for coach of the year. You would never think this collection of players would be playing as well as they are.

I am stuck watching the Crapitols stream (which is bad enough). Craps are very physical and Pens don’t seem to be responding. They don’t look in sync or engaged.

Players can’t move a broken stick like that, that should be a penalty.
