Fantastic! What year? I'd prefer '26 but won't complain either way.

I think it's 25. Caps have (had) 2 2nd round picks in 25, we didn't have any.Michael74 wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 11:23 amFantastic! What year? I'd prefer '26 but won't complain either way.

I was on the sign Beauvillier train if we couldn't get good return, this is great return

Re: Beauvillier traded to the Caps
Plenty of draft capital and cap space to be a little dangerous.

That is a solid move although won't the caps 2nd be almost a 3rd? Still a 2nd for him is great.

Re: Beauvillier traded to the Caps
Regardless that's an outstanding return. I'd be happy if it were a '27 2hd, but still. That's awesome!

This is a great return for AB. Minimal we need to move Gryz and or Accairi.

Re: Beauvillier traded to the Caps
Yeah agreed. KD has earned a lot of fair criticism but dumping a free pickup piece for a 2nd is superb.

Re: Beauvillier traded to the Caps
Currently, that 2nd rounder would be #63 overall. About the same value as the Sharks 3rd round pick, yes.Antonio wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 11:26 amThat is a solid move although won't the caps 2nd be almost a 3rd? Still a 2nd for him is great.

It could be the other 2nd. We don’t know yet.Puck-Lurker wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 11:29 amCurrently, that 2nd rounder would be #63 overall. Re: Beauvillier traded to the Caps
True, imaging it'll be WSH 2nd, but the BOS 2nd right now is penciled in at #42 overall. Even better if it is that but I'm happy either waylemieuxReturns wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 11:31 amIt could be the other 2nd. It's Washington's 2nd. Fine. It's another asset.

And if they don't make the conference finals, which they won't, that pick could move up a few spots.

That's a great return, late 2nd or not. I was expecting a 3rd or even 4th for him.

Re: Beauvillier traded to the Caps
Washington will advance to the playoffs likely as a division winner, which makes this pick fall in the #57-64 range.
Regardless, it's a great trade. Grzelcyk should yield an even higher return.

Re: Beauvillier traded to the Caps
Isn't it just reversed regular season standings for the top 16 teams, regardless of playoffs performance?
So, WSH picks are 31st, 63rd, 95th and so on?
