Schenn traded to the Jets

Post by KG »

Makes sense that he was never assigned a number here! Solid return. 26 2nd is a nice get.

Doesn't look like we are retaining either. Still have that last retention slot this season...

How does Nashville look at this and not wonder what they did? Was Bunting really all that to them?

I love that we are still besting Trotz. In a round about way.

Apparently they do need center help, even before the trade.

I live near D.C., and it's probably greedy of me to be bummed about Trotz getting the monkey off the Caps' back in 2018 but I can't help it. I did think it was cool to see how much Ovi enjoyed finally winning the Cup, and I'm OK with him setting the goals record but I don't want him to get a 2nd Cup.

Ok, so now Bunting for Novak and a 2nd? Much better. Credit where credit is due to KD on that. Only downside is that we are stockpiling picks 2, 3 years ahead which means none of the players would be useful, if at all, for like 5, 6, 7 years.

Thats why I said we dont need to use retention for Schenn in this sellers markets, because there is enough demand for his services.

Great job KD for even more picks

I guess when they didn’t give him a jersey # yesterday he had already told management he didn’t want to be here.

And if Sullivan is the coach prospects likely won't be useful for 2-4 years either.

That is what I was saying yesterday. Be prepared for a big feeling of ugh about an hour from now. Yes our team will be better but our roster will be worse and it will be for a while. Penguins hockey will be not winning hockey for a while.

We were spoiled for a long time. This day was always coming at some point.
