Now it comes down to drafting the correct prospects.

At least they have a coach at WBS who seems to be properly developing the players. Now we just need to see an NHL coach that will use them.

For Nikita Grebenkin and a 1st

Philly also sent a 4th and a 6th
Flyers retain 50% (1.5M), Laughton is signed for one more year.

My goodness, looking at these returns, I can’t help but think what Rakell might fetch. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if Dubas can make it happen.

Looking at LA’s cap space, they can’t take on RR unless we take something big back.

Scott Laughton and Brock Nelson got 1sts, Rakell should certainly match the two of them.

So probably Acciari and Gryzelcyk are next? They might have to keep all the sharp objects away from Sullivan if they move Acciari.

They did get him Heinen and they still have Rust so he might be alright.

Only guy on roster who is a UFA in July and makes a cap dent is Gavrikov. Pens could take him, a high prospect and about 5 first rounders😄

If we could clear out Grz and Acciari that would be a lot of good business. Rakell is going to be costly. I'm here to see it!

Sounds like it's Stankoven and 2 1st round picks for Rantanen. Have to think Carolina will flip one or both of those picks. Boeser? Rakell??

Well Rakell can’t run away from their organization for another 3 years so there is that.

For all the talk about preferring close-to-NHL ready prospects over picks/players, we have yet to see any. Just picks and players w/ age.

Really hope he crushes a Rakell trade today. Otherwise any prospect we acquire is likely to be pretty meh.

I would imagine players between 21-25 aren't likely to be traded at the deadline, unless it's for a top player. At this point in the Penguins situation, I'd rather picks and more picks then add more picks on top of that. Flood the prospect pool and create competition or trade assets.

I wouldn't mind getting the kind of players you mentioned, but they haven't exactly traded studs either.

I just want the best value regardless of which path we take. Relative to these players I'm very happy with the return thus far.

Imagine being the Avs and you trade away Rantanen to the East and then he shows back up a month later in the west to the one team that is in your way to a cup.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Schenn was our last trade of the day. Dubas could be content with “having the most picks over the next three drafts” and think he’s helping by holding onto the rest of the team.

1 hour and 24min to go.. lets move out Gryz, Acciari and EK (unlikely) somehow somewhere and call it a good day!

Rakell - 50% - 50% traded or stays

Not moving Rakell is beyond insane with the prices being paid. No justification for keeping him and no justification for not being able to find an appropriate price. Hopefully it is a last minute thing.
