Such a typical game for this season's squad.

EK with his usual decision at the Offensive Blue Line when the Goalie is Pulled leads to the game ending ENG.

100%. This loss isn’t because they lack talent. They don’t play the game with any structure, specially defensively. To continuously blow leads for years now is beyond a joke.

Definitely isn't. He played less than 14 minutes. Every other defenseman player at least 19.Wyopen wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 9:36 pmIs Kolyachonok hardly playing in the third or is it my imagination?

Even terrible teams go on some little winning streaks. Now I can't wait for them to go 2-10 on their remaining gamesKG wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 9:39 pmHopefully now the local media can give up there dream that the Pens should keep winning and make the playoffs.

What? Was Kolyachonok on the ice for one goal and that’s why he was benched? Heaven forbid if you’re young and make a mistake.

Re: Official GDT: Pens vs Isles 3/18/25
An absolute 3rd Period Collapse with 4 Goals Allowed and a 2 Goal Lead choked away.
Letang,Gryz and EK were incompetent in the 3rd and bad the entire night. So much $$$ invested in those 3 gets that result.
Rust,Hayes and Malkin passed up shot after shot.Never attempted to get it on net all game.
The PP did nothing and continues to struggle late in this Season.Offered no threat to score in this one.
The Top 2-3 Coach saw this game takes turn early in the 3rd but stood by idly thinking his "System" was going to succeed.
This Loss was a disaster.Once the Isles got the early 3rd Period Breakaway Goal the Pens looked like they were waiting to get beat.Watching Kris Letang,Matt Gryzelyck and Erik Karlsson get beat with ease, turn the puck over in horrible places and provide no competent play was rough to watch but has occurred so often us Pens Fans are numb to it.This Coach was a Spectator to another crushing loss where the same blueprint for failure was completely put into use by the Opponent.

It's losses like this that makes fans beg for change. This isn't a new. The team has blown countless leads with significantly different rosters over the last several years.
Enough is enough. Sully always gets a pass. Goaltending let them down, Jake got traded, Jarry stinks, KD is selling off assets. It doesn't matter. Playing a defensive structure is 100% coaching. The fact that this team just keeps blowing leads and Sully just keeps getting a pass, and continually praised! is beyond pathetic by the media.
Rip off the band-aid already. Time for a new voice. Holy crap already.

The Top 2-3 Coach will blame Kolyachonok for pinching on the Isles 1st Goal instead of blaming the "Core Guy" Letang for that pathetic decision that was the reason it happened.Wyopen wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 9:47 pmWhat? No, not at all. Not if you care about the future of the team. We need to lose. Winning now does absolutely nothing for the long term viability of this team.

Re: Official GDT: Pens vs Isles 3/18/25
I don't get to see many games but I swear, every time I watch there are multiple times where Letang is unable to hold the blue line and gives up a breakaway chance that far too often ends up behind our goalie. I couldn't even see the jersey # on the 2nd goal but I still turned to my wife and said "Looks like a Letang special." I was no surprise when I saw # 58 on the replayZalapski33 wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 10:00 pmThe Top 2-3 Coach will blame Kolyachonok for pinching on the Isles 1st Goal instead of blaming the "Core Guy" Letang for that pathetic decision that was the reason it happened.Wyopen wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 9:47 pmWhat? I hear You.Difficult to accept(but necessary) losing that way to that team which historically has been a thorn in this Team's Side.Michael74 wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 10:17 pmNo, not at all. Perfect game.
Fun hockey for 2 periods.
Kid got his first NHL Goal
Sid adds another point.
