Official GDT: Pens @ Panthers 3/23/25
Playing the best defenseman on the 3rd pairing is something Sullivan will never change. Fire this bum before we get decent talent in here that he will destroy.

2nd worst Defensive Team in the NHL to San Jose.DelPen wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 5:43 pm

Kolyachonok and Timmins have looked much better Defending than these "Top 4" of EK,Letang,Gryz and Graves but the Top 2-3 Coach refuses to grasp this.
Pickering,Brunicke and St.Ivany should all be given their chance next year but Sullivan will absolutely hinder their development.

Imama hasn’t been any worse than anyone else that’s been on the 4th line the last 5 years or so but at least he shows up like he gives a **** every shift so I’m starting to like him.

Dude seems aware he's got a limited toolkit and fully intent to make the most of it, while the more gifted players are kept together in the AHL. Goes for hits, stays for blocks, shoots pucks and skates hard. Text book fourth liner. Sullivan should love him.DelPen wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 6:13 pmImama hasn’t been any worse than anyone else that’s been on the 4th line the last 5 years or so but at least he shows up like he gives a **** every shift so I’m starting to like him.

If you can pin one thing on a coach it’s the inconsistency that a team demonstrates game to game. Pens have looked really good and really bad often period to period. That’s on the coach. And it’s been a problem for half a decade now.

Gives every bit of what he has every shift, plays a straight forward game and doesn't hesitate to use his physicality.Character is evident every night.DelPen wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 6:13 pmImama hasn’t been any worse than anyone else that’s been on the 4th line the last 5 years or so but at least he shows up like he gives a **** every shift so I’m starting to like him.

I remember thinking when he got called up: "Why?! There's like 6 others I'd call up before him.." Koivunen, Ponomarev, McGroarty, guys like that, the usual suspects.Zalapski33 wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 6:23 pmGives every bit of what he has every shift, plays a straight forward game and doesn't hesitate to use his physicality.Character is evident every night.DelPen wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 6:13 pmImama hasn’t been any worse than anyone else that’s been on the 4th line the last 5 years or so but at least he shows up like he gives a **** every shift so I’m starting to like him.
Dubas said on Imama that he brings a spark of energy to the team that the Penguins lack and could really use. And he was right about that at least

Rusty a bit too passive there and we are behind by great shot from Reinhart

Timmins and Rust fumbled that.
Reinhart with a hell of a shot. I'll forgive Jarry for giving up a goal on the third shot.

And yet he barely plays.. he can be regular 10min 4th liner.. not playing 5min per gameZalapski33 wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 6:23 pmGives every bit of what he has every shift, plays a straight forward game and doesn't hesitate to use his physicality.Character is evident every night.DelPen wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 6:13 pmImama hasn’t been any worse than anyone else that’s been on the 4th line the last 5 years or so but at least he shows up like he gives a **** every shift so I’m starting to like him.

Rust can't be that soft there.Way too easy for Forsling to get him off the Puck and get that clear look for the Goal.

Rust sure made up for it with a terrific move to get the PP Goal.EK gave him a great feed to set it up.

That’s some home cooking giving Forsling an assist on the Panthers goal.
