It definitely feels like a win getting out of the period only down 1.

So Letang has 3 more years after this season on his contract. Can he really make to the end of his contract ? If not , does he have one of those contracts where you eat his salary cap whether he plays or not?

Whatever screws the Pens the worst, I'm sure it's in his contractSouthern Fan wrote: Thu Apr 03, 2025 9:39 pmSo Letang has 3 more years after this season on his contract. I don't think this team can afford to eat the salaries of Letang, Graves, and Jarry. And they are essentially eating Graves and Jarry salaries at this point.Southern Fan wrote: Thu Apr 03, 2025 9:39 pmSo Letang has 3 more years after this season on his contract. Lost 4-1 tonight. Bruins had 1 point in their last 9 games.

Suddenly, they have lost 6 straight and are now sitting in the 4th overall draft spot. Someone understood the challenge.

Re: Official GDT: Pens @ Blues 4/3/25
My more optimistic take on Letang is that he might be ok if they can improve the d-corps around him and not have him be the go-to, big-minute guy anymore. For the season, he's averaged the most minutes per game on the team at 23:36. If they can get him down to 2nd-pairing minutes (maybe 18-20/game), I think he could be better. It sucks paying a guy $6 million a year to not be a top pairing d-man, but it doesn't suck as bad as paying Graves $4.5 million a year to be a 6/7 d-man.

Actually they've lost 10 straight. Yes they absolutely understood what to do. Unlike us.

Graves is so bad. Have to find a way to get him off the roster this summer.

Graves with the usual Defensive Ineptitude, gets worked and the Blues go right to the net for another easy tally.
Outside of currently aiding the Pens Draft Position there is nothing positive Ryan Graves gives this Team on the ice.

Regardless of game outcome, I love that Sullivan is actually playing McGroarty and Koivunen out there at the end of the game with the goalie pulled.

Crazy this 6 on 5 looks more dangerous with the 2 AHL guys.

Thinking KD told Sully this is what we’re doing.FLPensFan wrote: Thu Apr 03, 2025 10:29 pmRegardless of game outcome, I love that Sullivan is actually playing McGroarty and Koivunen out there at the end of the game with the goalie pulled.
Too bad we get a point but st least McG and Koivunen created the goal. Good for them!

McGroarty with his first NHL Goal,Koivunen with his 1st NHL Point. Right in front to get it put in.
Way to get it tied by these Young Guys. Both were all over the Offensive Zone with the empty net.

Nice goal by McGroarty. I’ve been impressed by this kid. Somebody needs to get him a forward’s number.

Except for the Calder playoffs, these two won’t see the AHL again.Zalapski33 wrote: Thu Apr 03, 2025 10:34 pmMcGroarty with his first NHL Goal,Koivunen with his 1st NHL Point. Right in front to get it put in.

Horrible call. They tackled Sid in the third and no call

Re: Official GDT: Pens @ Blues 4/3/25
Letang barely touched Kyrou on this weak Penalty call but his getting beat too easily gave him the path to the net.
