did Bonvie retire this year?

excuse me for not knowing.. i dont follow WBS too much

i will say though.. he had a set of brass ones... he didnt shy down from noone

Yes, Bonvie is retiring after this season.

The Pens keep advancing and are 8 wins away from giving Bonvie his 1st Calder Cup.

First off, Bonvie really is a good guy. He made the most out of his career he could with his god given talent. Although many here will belittle him for alot stuff, they couldn't even dream of playing in the NHL. He knew what the cards held and played them all in every night.

I wish him well and hope he finds a coaching job now in the minors. He reminds me of John Brophy in his youth in the old ECHL. John was the same kind of player, maybe even physically uglier in todays sense. No qualms about taking on or doing anything to a guy to win a game. Nasty hockey player but very respected. Dennis was never that nasty.

I'm betting Dennis to surface somewhere as a coach/assistant coach in the minors. Even if its in Jrs. He lasted this long and he knew where the game was going, totally away from his strengths.

No, I don't know Dennis personally at all for those of you that thinking that. This is my opinion based on what I've seen during his career in WBS.

Well said. Dennis has been a great ambassador for the game in the WB/Scranton area
