I'm watching the game right now on B2...he's worse than bad. The difference in these two teams is net minding. They have it - we don't. :? One more period to go.

That is a ludicrous statement to make. You obviously don't know much about hockey, as both of the goals tonight were all on the defense.

In the season he was 24-12-2, with a 2.23 GAA, .915 SV%

In the playoffs he is 12-8, with a 2.85 GAA

He's a rookie btw

He really impressed me every time I saw him. WBS' defense has not been good lately.

He's a good goalie, with a great future.

ZenPenguin watches one game all year, and says he's bad.

Well, I don't normally agree with Zen, but can say it because I have watched him both with the babies & with the Vegas Wranglers. He is a marginally good goalie during the regular season, even to earn himself Goalie of the Week. But he falls apart when the heat's on. He definitely had the potential to get himself moved up out of ECHL, but I'm not sure he'll stay in the AHL if he doesn't get some serious help from a good goalie coach.

I think you guys are way off here. He does find himself out of position fairly often, but he has a remarkable ability to recover (a lot like MAF). You're talking about someone who went undrafted, then signed by Fletcher, to now becoming the undisputed playoff goalie for WBS. There are 26 other AHL goalies who would love to be where he is.

I'm confident with him.

Tonight Curry made 33 saves on 34 shots, and was #1 star of the game..

Man, he is really bad.

I admitted I was too harsh on him in another thread. He was stellar last night...but was chosen #3 star according to B2. #1 was Connor James & # 2 was Dennis Bonvie.

Curry played like he normally does in regular season so let's hope he takes that mindset to Chicago with him now. Hopehopehopehopehope!

I got three teams & all three reached the finals this year. Two, the Pens & the Wranglers went down in flames. I gotta at least have one that gets the big prize, right?
Those are the rules, right? Okay, those are MY rules!!! Image

If they signed a franchise caliber goalie as an undrafted free agent, I think that's cause for celebration.

I stated that it was the only game I saw all year, I'm not sure why you're getting all puffy. The remaining games didn't do anything to change my mind, he was out of position all the time and only looked good sparactically.
I don't belive WWGRD was "puffy" it is annoying when people don't follow the team then make broad negative judgements. John Curry is a ROOKIE goaltender who led his team to the calder cup finals amidst many NHL callups and injuries. He may sometimes be caught out of position but he also made some AMAZING game saving saves. Remember Ty Conklin was the best goalie in the AHL early on this season, then he gets the call up and never returns bringing the pressure on not 1 but 2 rookie goalies. I think Curry had a fantastic season and I for one am proud to be a penguins fan. WOO!

Thank you. Perfectly put.
