How is lego batman? I was going to pick that up for PS2. Is it worth it, or is it too little kiddish?the wicked child wrote:Frets on Fire - PC game ala Guitar Hero/Rock Band... lots of custom songs.

Re: Current video game being played
When I can take leave of the new baby and 2.5 year old (which hasn't been often), I am playing a Battlefield 2 modification called Forgotten Hope 2. It's a WWII FPS. I also play the version for Battlefield 1942 (conveniently titled Forgotten Hope 1). More info here.
If you have BF2 (and it's around $20) and like WWII, this is the mod for you.
I'm also waiting for NHL 09 for the PC as well as Call of Duty World at War.

It's a cool game, I got it for the ps3 when it came out. Have you ever played any of the other lego games (Indy or Star Wars)? It's very similar to those, I'm only about 11-12% done with the game so far but it's a solid game and worth the money imo.newarenanow wrote:How is lego batman? I was going to pick that up for PS2. Along with Lego Batman I'm currently playing NHL 09 and Madden 09, I'm trying to keep a rotation going but MLB playoffs have cut severely into that time.

I never played the other Lego series games, but my buddy has star wars, and loves it. If found the one for cheap at Gamestop by my house, so I may pick up the Star Wars one when I finish Metroid Prime and Zelda the Windwaker.

Re: Current video game being played
thats what I did with Star Wars, I didn't know if I'd like it so I bought it used for ps2 for like 10 bucks. I really enjoyed the game and so when I heard Batman was coming out I figured it would be be pretty similar controls and such just a different storyline. There's 15 levels to complete as a superhero and 15 levels as a villian which is a neat twist.newarenanow wrote:I never played the other Lego series games, but my buddy has star wars, and loves it. Re: Current video game being played
If you enjoy one lego game, you will enjoy them all. There really isn't a ton of difference between them besides the subject and characters. This could also be a minus for some... I'll liken it to purchasing an AC/DC album... you know what you are going to get.newarenanow wrote:How is lego batman? I was going to pick that up for PS2. I would say lego batman is fun, especially when you get to do the Villain Missions. The vehicle misions are particularly fun as well.

I'll probably wait a while to buy it. I can get by on NHL alone pretty much all season long. I'll ask someone to pick it up for me for christmas.

I had been playing Colonization, I thought it was actually pretty badly designed. What are your thoughts on it?AlexPKeaton wrote:Current: NHL09, Civ: Colonization, Crysis Warhead, and Warhammer Online

At the very least, it got me playing Civ IV: BtS again.

For just that game I want a WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII so bad I could cry. I'm thinking about asking my brother and mom to split it for me for X'mas so we'll see. There are more "important" things I need but still.KennyTheKangaroo wrote:Mario Kart WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
I'm currently knee deep in Spore. I basically suck at video games other than Mario Cart and Mario Tennis so I'm not doing very good. I'm almost at the end of the Creature stage and am a full-blown predator because I have a hard time finding allies and when I can't, I just kill them all out of frustration. Lord knows what the other levels will be like...
The one other computer game I want is Assassin's Creed. I played it with my friend a few times and wasn't too bad at it.

I bought GH:80s to fill the time until that was supposed to come out and I'm stuck on the Romantics song. It's bad enough that I don't like the song to begin with, but to have to try to play it over and over sucks. I have an easier time with "Jordan" on Expert (I've hit 71% but never finished).
Thunderhorse on hard = 100% yesterday. woohhooo!

GH: World Tour has uploading ability (360/PS3/Wii) and the ability to create your own songs.
This is either gonna be good or bad depending how they manage it. Three minute/1200 note song limits - which ever comes first - kinda sucks, but I'm sure I could find a ton of stuff that would make it under the wire.
