Ok who's a NASCAR fan??? Who do you like, who do you not like??? Who's gonna improve this year, who's gonna do worse???
I'll start by saying... Jeff Gordon sucks. So does Jimmy Johnson. I don't much like Ryan Newman either, but Jeff Gordon is the worst.
Bobby Labonte is the man. Look for him to get the monkey off his back and rebound this year. I also like Tony Stewart and Dale Jarrett.
Oh ya... and NO.. nascar doesn't suck. And YES, they do more than drive in circles all day. And YES, they are athletes and it IS a sport.

"I want to be a race car passenger: just a guy who bugs the driver. "Say man, can I turn on the radio? You should slow down. Why do we gotta keep going in circles? Can I put my feet out the window? Man, you really like Tide..."

Wait for it, NASCAR season will tide us over until 06-07 begins...

I'm sorry sj, but Gordon and Johnson are two butt pirates that love to play hide the salami. Kurt Busch is eh... i dont really like him, but he's not that bad.
Anyhow, Bobby moving to petty was tough... I just can't imagine him not in the interstate batteries car anymore... but I think sometimes change is good, so we'll see how it works. Loomis coming over will be a big plus, as will the new crew chief, Todd Parrot. Those guys know what they are doing... and I know Labonte is one of the best drivers... so hope they get some chemistry going.

sorry to disappoint you guys, but Orpik Fan is a girl!
The Interstate Battery car won't be the same but I look forward to seeing Bobby with Petty.

That's so old... people need to get over the fact he beat their drivers a few too many times over the years.
That said, the 5 and 25 should be fun to watch this year.

Actually, I just started watching NASCAR 2 years ago. Gordon has accomplished alot, but this isnt about "him beating my driver". Labonte has beat him plenty over the years anyways. My beef is that Gordon is a pansy, I dont like his whining or him personally, with his stints on Howard Stern and his rainbow colors... hes just.... a jerk.

Just saw it, that is a sweet car! Thanks for the info!!!! I will have to get a die-cast of that car now for my collection.
I will still have to get used to him not being in the #18

NASCAR makes me giggle too much. I prefer open wheel single seaters, Champ Car and F1.

I just find it endlessly amusing that people are entertained by it. So every time I see something NASCAR-related....well....I get church giggles.
Kind of like when you're in 5th grade and you can make everything you hear into a snicker-inducing sexual innuendo.
Like, "Geez, this math test is hard."
And you just go, "Heh heh heh....you said hard."
Very Beavis and Butt-Head, I know. But I can't help myself....I just find it funny.

so why is it "endlessly amusing" that people are entertained by Nascar? I don't seem to follow your train of thought. Is it because you feel nascar is inferior to "open wheel single seaters, Champ Car and F1. "?

It really is an interesting sport if people can give it a chance. Its not just going in cirlces all day, there is so much more involved.
And the cars are amazing. Magnum V8's with about 800 HP.....
