Re: Current video game being played
For some reason I started playing Tomb Raider Anniversary on PC this weekend. This game is fantastic and only set me back $10.

The first Fable II Review. I know some people were looking forward to this.

Re: Current video game being played
I finally started a franchise on NHL 09, and after playing it for a couple games, how do people play the regular game without at least another person on the same team? Its just doesn't compare to be a pro.

How is Lego Batman? I've never played any of the lego games and have no idea what they are like.

Re: Current video game being played
It's fairly easy but fun. I just finished the game as Batman & Robin and now I get to go through it from the villains' perspectives.
I like it a lot more than Lego Indiana Jones. (I got to a part in the Temple of Doom that I cannot get past so I quit playing.)
I'm not sure that I would've bought the game myself before playing it (I'm borrowing it from my brother) but I like it and would definitely recommend it.

I'll definitely have to check it out at some point. NHL is enough to hold my attention for now though, I'm probably due for another game soon.

Neverwinter Nights and its expansion packs, along with the PRC for extra spell goodness.

Lego batman is definitely much better than lego indiana jones. it is similar in the fact that once you get everything there is no reason to pick it up again, but it is fun until that point. if you have the opportunity to rent it, you might want to do that - it's up to you as to whether it is worth the purchase.

I have a best buy gift card burning in my wallet. I may pick up that game.the wicked child wrote:Lego batman is definitely much better than lego indiana jones. it is similar in the fact that once you get everything there is no reason to pick it up again, but it is fun until that point. if you have the opportunity to rent it, you might want to do that - it's up to you as to whether it is worth the purchase.

It is especially fun to play as the villains. Clayman ftw. The joker's double barrel action is good for clearing out a lot of gunmen quickly as well.

Has anyone else played World Tour yet?
Satch Boogie ==
There is a very lengthy 'tapping' section in the middle of the song that is pretty tough. I'm not sure sure how I beat it to be honest. It was by far the lowest % I've ever attained and not failed. I'm guessing the addition of collecting star power while it is in use is the only reason. I will need to practice that one a LOT to get good at it.

I've heard nothing but good things about World Tour, but haven't yet played it. I'll probably get it before I have family here for the holidays.the wicked child wrote:Has anyone else played World Tour yet?

GH: WT showed up on my porch yesterday. As sad as this sounds, I was too tired to open it.
In the Wii right now: Wii Fit
In the PS2: GH2, probably still on the Failed 41% screen that was up from when I last attempted Jordan on Expert.

Re: Current video game being played
I got NHL 09 for the PC and it has been underwhelming so far.
Good:
There is some form of Be a Pro, but you start in the NHL...on the first line with a player rating of 63. You can also pick a pro and follow them around. It's interesting, but I don't like the camera angle.
Graphics and animations are a little bit updated
Bad
Rosters are pretty bad, with only the big July signings for the most part. Rob Scuderi still doesn't have his picture in the game -- one of my pet peeves. Letang doesn't either. Sykora is listed as a center. I can get custom rosters to fix this.
Goaltender AI seems wonky -- it takes FOREVER for a goalie to go post to post. I'll have to play with the settings and look into a mod to fix the AI. Fleury has the same rating as Ray Emery (88), btw.
No online matchup lobby. Clicking on the Play Online tab and the game takes to a direct IP connection page. They actually state on this screen to "Go to the EA Sports Forum to find players!" This has a lot of people really irritated, but because I rarely play online it doesn't bother me much. I was planning on trying to play online more this year, so killing the Online Lobby is really stupid. However, with all of the mods I use for the game (including rosters), it's hard to matchup without errors. Maybe they will add the lobby later with a patch, but I'm not holding my breath. Last year, there was one patch (to release the new Reebok uniforms) and no official roster updates.

Re: Current video game being played
I just decided that i'm gonna try to catch up with the NHL season in my franchise(im 2 games in), and if I do that by a reasonable time then I'm going to go buy Fallout 3 and play it until the pens game.

Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, and CoD World at War PC Multiplayer Beta.
Downloading Fable 2 as we speak so that is next on my list.

You can download at the usual bit torrent sites. But you need a modded 360 and a DL burner.PenguinSteve-o wrote:where do you download those games? I need to start doing that.AlexPKeaton wrote:Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, and CoD World at War PC Multiplayer Beta.

OH, I play most of my games on the PC. I tryed the Torrent stuff a long time ago. Stuff was confusing so I gave up. Might have to try that again.AlexPKeaton wrote:You can download at the usual bit torrent sites. But you need a modded 360 and a DL burner.PenguinSteve-o wrote:where do you download those games? Yeah I first played Neverwinter Nights, Civilization 3, Max Payne, and GTA 3 via that route. I actually ended up buying all of them though, because they were sweet.

Re: Current video game being played
i enjoy using blockbuster's $20+ month deal to keep one game out. i used to use gamefly, but prefer to get a new game immediately if i want it.
renting fable II right now. might have to buy fallout and far cry though. can rent gears though i'm not that into it. still haven't played bioshock though i've had it forever. someone convince me to finally play that darn game
