About ready to install Myst III: Exile and IV: Revelation. I'm way behind in the series.

I shouldn't have bought it for 360!Shyster wrote:Admit it; the first Oblivion mod you installed was the "Female Nude EyeCandy" mod, right?André wrote:Speaking of Bethesda I'm playing Oblivion again. Got new hardware and several of the best mods (some are just brilliant, and adresses some of the original versions flaws). The game's still jaw dropping at times, I must say. Sure, Crysis is technically more modern but in some ways Oblivion still is the best looking game, and there are just so many different things to do in it.

After playing fallout 3 all day saturday I found myself going into rooms in the house and scanning the room for first aid kits and ammo boxes.LeopardLetang wrote:fable II side effect. when i turn off the game and walk away, i always feel like there's a dog scampering around me.

I used to do that when GTA first came out for the PS2. I'd play it all day, and then go drive my car and feel like plowing into people and jumping out stealing other cars.AlexPKeaton wrote:After playing fallout 3 all day saturday I found myself going into rooms in the house and scanning the room for first aid kits and ammo boxes.LeopardLetang wrote:fable II side effect. when i turn off the game and walk away, i always feel like there's a dog scampering around me.

Yeah well like I said the best mods really adress some of the original game's flawsShyster wrote:Admit it; the first Oblivion mod you installed was the "Female Nude EyeCandy" mod, right?André wrote:Speaking of Bethesda I'm playing Oblivion again. hehe, no seriously I haven't seen that mod, was talking more about Obscurion's Oblivion Overhaul, texture fixes, arena add ons, new interface and map, better water and lightning etc etc

It's on texnexus.com, if you're interested. There's a signup required to download from that site, but it's free. They have just about every mod there is; new armor, weapons, textures, quests, you name it. I see the "EyeCandy" mod has been downloaded 294,005 times. There's also a sub-mod for that mod that adds "jiggling" to the game too. Plus, there are tons of optional female outfits you can add to the game that go with the EyeCandy mod. It's like computerized Barbie dolls for lonely nerd perverts.André wrote:Yeah well like I said the best mods really adress some of the original game's flaws

I recommend you check and see if "Kvatch Rebuilt" is compatible with your current mod package. I tried that one and it's pretty nicely done. Over the course of several weeks of in-game time, the people of Kvatch will put out the fires and rebuild the city. There are a handful of new locations and quests too. I always thought that leaving Kvatch eternally burning in the original game was just plain laziness on Bethesda's part.

Re: Current video game being played
It was really good. I absolutely had to look at some puzzle solutions because I never, in a million years, would have thought to do what needed to be done. I also solved quite a few on pure accident. Funnily enough, this game reminded me of Fire n Ice because of how you had to completely change your way of thinking to come close to solving the puzzles. Definitely worth the 15 bucks.dogwithshftyeyes wrote:BRAID: this is the best game i have played in YEARS.
Plus, I really loved the soundtrack.

COD World at War beta is now available free on XBL. I downloaded that now. Add that to my list of playing/wanted games.

Re: Current video game being played
By the way, Fallout 3 is definitely one of the Elder Scrolls games set in a different time period and in a smaller world. Which is no knock on it as far as i'm concerned, I loved both Morrowind and Oblivion. Never played the first two. I always hate the beginning of these games when you still don't really know what you want your character to be like and aren't built up and are without decent equipment.

I never changed my registration from 2004, so I was still registered on campus at Duquesne. So I voted there.Kicksave wrote:Where did you vote? The really annoying thing is that that church across from the swim club was doing voting. It could have taken a total of about 15 minutes from playing NHL 09 to playing Fallout 3. Instead it took from 2-4.

Just beat Dead Space tonight. What an excellent overlooked game. If you liked Resident Evil 4, you'll love this game. This game should get more credit but it came out during a time where so many other great games are coming out.

I just bought Lego Batman. I won't start it though until I finish Metroid Prime (which I have been on hiatus for about 2 weeks). Can't wait to play that game.

After playing Gears of War 2 for an hour last night, it is basically exactly the same as Gears of War 1 only with more set pieces like CoD4 had. Rent it if you are just going to do the single player, buy it if you are going to do multi/co-op.

Re: Current video game being played
I just picked up Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia for my Nintendo DS. It's basically the same as the last two Castlevania DS games and just about every other Castlevania game to date. That's not a bad thing, though. I wish Konami would crank out a new Castlevania game every month.

Re: Current video game being played
Ok, I think I have Satch Boogie figured out. The touch pad is a must on the tappping section. Made a huge difference; instead of almost failing, I stayed in the green throughout. Still not an awesome performance overall, but taming that section will go a long way. I did kinda crappy on the rest of the song because I was already tired from practicing the tapping section twice.
