Re: Your irrational pet peeves
People who are on soul-sucking conference calls who insist on making them even worse by asking 572 inane/irrelevant questions. If it only pertains to you and your unique situation, send an email or make a follow-up phone call. Don't subject the rest of us - who have already been on the call for two hours and need to have sharp objects removed from our desks to keep from just ending it all and putting ourselves out of the misery - to your idiotic blathering and what-if scenarios.

the excessive use of LOL in general. If you actually laugh out loud that often, you might have brain damage.clover11 wrote:those green jerseys and such

Girls who wear leggings as pants. They are footless tights, not pants! Would you wear a pair of regular tights/pantyhose without a skirt, dress, etc? No.
Actually, anyone that wears leggings. They are so unflattering.

In a restaurant, when a host/maitr'd insists on seating you near either the corridor to the restroom or near the server station, even though several other tables are open. I always ask to move.

We must be on the same conference calls. One of these days I'm going to end up wrapping the telephone cord around my neck and hanging myself from the light in my office.Spikey wrote:People who are on soul-sucking conference calls who insist on making them even worse by asking 572 inane/irrelevant questions. Folks who are texting and walking around, that believe you should be the one to move out of their way. How annoying~ when they look up, a bit started that they have to use their voice.

Got a new one from the Pens-TB game last night:
People who insist on banging their fists on the glass the entire game any time the puck is remotely near them. Couldn't wait for the game to be over last night. The worst part is the dudes had on Penguin gear...

Non-Sporting event live television that goes over it's originally set time frame. I missed the ending of Fringe last night thanks to American Idol.
As for St Patricks day in the US....10.8% of the US population is of Irish origin. Thats about 30 million. IMO that warrants St Pattys being at least a 1 day holiday in the US. The president of Guiness even has a website and petition to make it happen, http://www.proposition317.com
His argument is not only does the US have a huge Irish population but that we dont have a real holiday between Presidents Day and Memorial Day. That's about 10 weeks.
/end st pattys rant...

Well, since we're talking irrational....
People with really big ears that stick out. It's not that I'm prejudiced against them, I just ALWAYS notice them, and that freaks me out. Drives my husband nuts, too, since I always have to mention it.

I have one from the Pens-Canes game.Admin wrote:Got a new one from the Pens-TB game last night:

The whole game all I could hear was one of the Canes' cheerleaders screaming, "Lets Go Canes!" over and over again. (She must've been right by where FSN had their mics placed.) It's one thing for fans to yell stuff (and, fwiw, I've never heard any fan yell the same thing for the entire game, nonstop) but this was like some form of torture. I felt nearly homicidal by the end of the game.
"Lets go Canes!" "Lets go Canes!" "Wooo!" "Lets go Canes!" "Yeah!" "Lets go Canes!" "Lets go Canes!"

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
I haven't read the whole thread, but what I really don't like is when people have those earsets for their cell phones and they talk all loud and crap and you don't even see them holding the phone and you think they're crazy and so you walk on to the other side of the street only to realize they ARE talking on the phone. Or when you stand in line and someone right next to you has the thing on and is carrying on the conversation right in your face. I hate those people.

My wife wanted to rent twilight. I lasted about 2 mins. I dunno how you can screw up a vampire movie, but they did.
