Best wishes to Biz Nasty
According to Bombulie's blog, Biss was cut during last night's game and lost a good amount of blood through an artery on his wrist. Fortunately the EMT's at the arena were able to stop the bleeding and get him to the hospital. Hope he has a speedy recovery

Biz is going to Pitt to get his hand checked out for nerve damage since he doesn't have full mobility.... That's not good.

Good luck Biz. Hope all is well.
I guess the bright side it, if it falls off, we can now do transplants.

That is horrifying. Whenever stuff like this happens, I wonder why it doesn't happen more frequently.
Not that he'll see this but he is definitely in my thoughts and I hope he'll be alright.

a Bissonnette update, in his own words. "I can’t feel my thumb. They said I might not regain feeling in my thumb. I’m about 50 percent on my first two fingers. Two of the tendons were (damaged) and they had to close off the one artery. That’s why I was gushing all over the ice." He said he hopes to be able to grip a hockey stick again in four months.

Even if he does make a full recovery, it doesn't sound like fighting would be advisable after this type of injury. I hope everything works out for him and he can resume his career and be a Pittsburgh Penguin again one day.

Latest I've heard is the update EPF gave above. I saw him at game 7 in Hershey walking the concourse with Boomer Ewing and CPZ and he had a rather large cast on.mac5155 wrote:any updates on the BIZ?

that's a shame. he's fought so hard to get into the NHL and now a tragic accident like this could take that dream away from him

It's so tough to see. He's a heck of a competitor and a special player for what he's done to get to where he is. He's also a great personality and a colorful character

I forget. I wanna say his right from what I remember seeing in Hershey. Don't quote me on that though...I'd have to check JB's blog to confirmWWGRD wrote:Definitely.K2 wrote:It's so tough to see. “I’m going to go out there and work by bag off, and if they keep me, they keep me.”
hehehehehe
Good to hear that Biz is healed and ready to go for the season. He won't be up with the team all year, but I could see him eventually replacing Godard after his contract expires.

Re: Best wishes to Biz Nasty
I don't think there's ever been a WBS Penguin I've wanted to see succeed like I do Biz Nasty. The guy truly does work his bag off, whatever that means.
