I never really got into RCR, but if you want to talk evil passwords, Battle of Olympus was all about them. I think it was something like 26 characters, but all of the text was in this font that made many letters indistinguishable... I don't even know how many times I had passwords that would not work because of that. I started noting letters that I was unsure of and would try different options for those till I got it right.
I just played and beat that game last year. It was the first time I played it in like 10 years. And you're right, the passwords are ridiculous. Tough game, but once you figure out what is going on, it is fun.
Just started playing it again using a GameFAQs guide. I still don't think I'd be able to get anywhere if I wasn't. It's probably been 15 years since I've last tried to beat it, so it will be a major personal accomplishment if I do! Great music in this game.

Oh, to find an emulator of this beauty. How many hours were spent hunched over my Apple IIgs playing this game and others like it? Wings of Fury (which was recently remade, IIRC), Kareteka, Summer/Winter/California Games...
karateka was awesome. for whatever reason it was always fun to jump back off the cliff at the beginning.

just thinking of a few other games that have nostalgic meaning to me that i've never mentioned in this thread..

bad dudes
super dodge ball
super mario rpg
skate or die 2
nes play action football (4 player action!)
flashback and blackthorne were good
roger clemens baseball was awesome

Since I finished the Conduit, I've mostly just been playing Rock Band 2, trying to rack up some gold stars on guitar.

Ahhh the beginning of the game is sooo horrible, I can't do anything yet. Yes 9:40 PM on a saturday and i'm sitting at home playing video games. Don't judge me, i'm still hungover from the past week.

The graphics and sound are extremely impressive for the Wii. The game itself is fun, albeit a bit shorter than I expected. I am not a huge FPS guy so while I enjoyed it, I am sure someone more into that genre would like it more. I have not been brave enough to venture into multiplayer at all, so I can't report on that.

One thing that stood out to me was the AI of the enemies... they will actively use their surroundings to avoid your fire and try to flank you when you are already engaged with another enemy. This is a major step forward in regards to the system.

I can't really say if it is a game that will be worthwhile to 360/PS3/PC FPS veterans or not... but it is certainly head and shoulders above similar games for Nintendo.

Anyone else looking forward to Dragon Age?

The spiritual sequal to Baldur's Gate. Neverwinter Nights was good but not great, Dragon Age does look more promising. Hopefully they can combine the depth and freedom of BG with new graphics etc.

God of War: Chains of Olympus on the PSP. Until NHL 10 on the 360, it's nothing but PSP for me.

I'm looking forward to it big time! Probably my most anticipated game release of the year.

What I'm playing now: Beat inFamous and God of War. Just chilling with my #1 game IL-2 until I decide what to play next. Probably God of War 2.

I'm back to Punch out Wii after taking a little break and playing the regular NES for a little bit.

I just be Don Flamango to win the Major Ciricuit and now am fighting that Irish dude in the world circuit.

I also got all the stars except for 1 in the exhibtion fights against the first 8 opponents.

Same hear. I did beat BG1 but halfway through (according to a friend) BG2 my save file crashed...

Maybe I'll play it again. I think the second game's graphics still are decent enough to replay.

I've been playing a lot of Tetris for the original Gameboy online. (here: http://www.thesmartass.info/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )

Did you know that once you get 10,0000 points, this happens:

It blew my mind.

Ha ha yeah. There are different launches for different accomplishments. Haven't played it in YEARS (maybe decade+) so memory is a bit fuzzy on the requirements.

Has anybody played Prototype for PC or console? The idea of free-roaming Manhattan with bladed weapons formed of your own biomass has a certain appeal.
