Re: Current video game being played
definitely grab it if you can get it cheap. I have both batman and starwars and they're pretty good.newarenanow wrote:I found it for pretty cheap and may pick it up today. It looks like fun. Something to just kill some time. I also found the LEGO Star Wars: the Complete Saga for pretty cheap too, so I may pick that one up.Letang Is The Truth wrote:i enjoy lego batman lol its entertainingnewarenanow wrote:Any good reviews for LEGO Batman??
The other games I may pick up for my Wii is Mario Galaxy, Zelda: The Twighlight Princess, and Metroid Prime 3.
Anyone play any of those games.

Version 1.3? How's it working? I'm waiting for a couple of patches before getting it (standard procedure with the otherwise splendid Total War series).eww7633 wrote:Empire: Total War

what is fable II like? it got great reviews but it never really seemed like something i would be in to.CHF wrote:I'm hooked on Fable II for the 360 right now. I came to the party late but I'm glad I did. I'm not usually an RPG guy but for some reason this one has grabbed me and won't let go. That said, NHL 10 is probably going to consume my world in a month.

Revisiting the Wii after I just "unlocked" it with the homebrew channel hack and downgraded to OS to 3.2 which allows all the cool stuff like loading the VC games and playing "backups". Super Mario Allstars for SNES may be one of the best games ever released.

It's a solid game....I am all about the RPGs that incorporate a first-person shooter/slasher aspect to them. Not a big fan of the turn-by-turn games. That's probably why I enjoy Fallout 3 so muchLetang Is The Truth wrote:what is fable II like? it got great reviews but it never really seemed like something i would be in to.CHF wrote:I'm hooked on Fable II for the 360 right now. Yeah, I love Fable 2, I actually need to get back into playing it again.shafnutz05 wrote:It's a solid game....I am all about the RPGs that incorporate a first-person shooter/slasher aspect to them. Interesting timing seeing as I am doing something similar... only my goal is to export the songs from Rock Band and play them in Rock Band 2. Backing up my Wii's memory right now... "Just In Case".DelPen wrote:Revisiting the Wii after I just "unlocked" it with the homebrew channel hack and downgraded to OS to 3.2 which allows all the cool stuff like loading the VC games and playing "backups". (Yes, I know the 360 and PS3 can do this without the BS - oh well)
Kinda annoying to find out that these third party apps can access USB HDs and such though... meaning the only reason Nintendo is not supporting them is because they don't want to.
Re: Current video game being played
I agree with the other assessments. It is a "real-time" RPG that moves at whatever pace you want it to. The world is pretty wide-open and even though you are pushed in certain directions you have completely free will. I am currently putting off the end of the main quest just to build up my real-estate empire.Letang Is The Truth wrote:what is fable II like? it got great reviews but it never really seemed like something i would be in to.CHF wrote:I'm hooked on Fable II for the 360 right now. Played all the licensed LEGO games so I picked up LEGO Battles for DS. Not thrilled with it so far. Very repetitive and the AI for recognizing paths around obstacles on the battlefield is pretty dumb.

Hit a few stumbling blocks along the way, but success... Just sang Blitzkreig Bop in Rock Band 2 on Wii.

I always end up singing Give it Away. And it never fails for making me think about my glorious sedentary lifestyle when I am out of breath.

I have a very specific vocal range... I can nail anything within that range, but if I need to go higher or lower it is painful to me.

Re: Current video game being played
Haha, I can go pretty low, and really high, but not slightly high. For example, I can get a lot closer on the Flyleaf songs than I can to the Jimmy Eat World songs. I can also get closer to the Doors song than the Jimmy Eat World song. I'm sure i'm bouncing between games, but the Rock Band games and GH World Tour all blur together for me.the wicked child wrote:I have a very specific vocal range... Flyleaf is RB, Doors are GH... The Middle is in both. I am pretty awesome at Jimmy Eat World, actually... right in my range.

The PS3 is back home (where there's nothing but dialup, 28.8K at that
), but when it gets back I really want to give the Arkham Asylum demo a try; it's up on PSN as we speak (can't speak to XBox Live, though I don't see why it wouldn't be also).

Finished Ninja Gaiden 2. The final board was RAAAAGE worthy until I studied copious youtube videos lol. On to God of War 2 for my popcorn gaming. I want to try a deep strategy game. Maybe I'll patch up Empire Total War and try that again, I was disappointed with it at launch (very buggy).
