i've heard good things about it. the last batman game was so hard it was maddening. i have devoted my current efforts to finding a cheap version of fable 2.Idoit40fans wrote:I should download that demo this weekend, that game actually looks decent.

Found a script to connect my WT guitar and drums to my PC... so now I can use those in Frets on Fire. My Les Paul and its sticky buttons is officially retired.

The demo is amazing. I'm absolutely pumped for this game to come out. Although I'll only have a couple weeks to finish the whole thing before NHL 10 comes out.PensBeerGeek wrote:The PS3 is back home (where there's nothing but dialup, 28.8K at that), but when it gets back I really want to give the Arkham Asylum demo a try; it's up on PSN as we speak (can't speak to XBox Live, though I don't see why it wouldn't be also).

Yeah it is, I just started playing it last night. I've had it for quite awhile but wanted to wait until I beat Lego Batman, I can't get past about 97.5% on that so I've given up for a bit and started with something else.newarenanow wrote:Lego Star Wars is da bomb.

That's funny because once I beat Lego Star wars (also going for 100%), I'm going to play Lego Batman.beerman wrote:Yeah it is, I just started playing it last night. Do you have the "Complete Saga" version?
I'm about 15% completed right now. I've beaten and reached "True Jedi" on all of the episode I boards, and also completed the minikits, challenge mode, and got the red brick on 3 out of the 6 boards on episode I. I beat the first 2 levels on Episode II, and have got the minikit, challenge, "true Jedi" and the red brick on level 2 of Episode II.
I hate the first level on Episode II. They made it very difficult to fly.
I also beat the "Bonus Level 1", which is the original pod race.
I plan on wrapping up Episode I tonight if it is raining. I think my wife hates me.

Yeah I have the Complete Saga for PS3, I had got Episodes I-III for PS2 used and played a few stories but then got my PS3 and it got pushed aside. Luckily I found a brand new copy for ps3 at gamestop for like $15 over the winter so I picked that up. I can't even remember how far I got last night but it was mainly just beating the first few levels the first time around, I kinda planned on going back through tonight and trying to clean up the first Episode completely if it's raining.newarenanow wrote:That's funny because once I beat Lego Star wars (also going for 100%), I'm going to play Lego Batman.beerman wrote:Yeah it is, I just started playing it last night. Personally I like Batman better than the Star Wars version. I'm just so ticked at that game anymore I had to take a break. I think I need 2 minikits on the hero side and 3 on the villian side but I have no clue how to get them.

That's cool. I really enjoy Lego Star Wars, so if you like Batman better, that's pretty good as I will be playing that shortly after.beerman wrote:Yeah I have the Complete Saga for PS3, I had got Episodes I-III for PS2 used and played a few stories but then got my PS3 and it got pushed aside. Usually when I get absolutely stuck, I go to gamefaqs to cheat a little. I can't spend the time on games like I used to, so sometimes I cheat a little.
I haven't cheated yet on Star Wars and have been able to find everything so on the boards I've completed 100%.
The games are a little easier compared to some, but still present a challenge and are pretty fun. I can't wait to get home now.

I am playing the most hardcore game I have ever come across. It is so hardcore that I have put like 6 hours into it and I haven't started playing yet, just reading how to play lol.

It is basically Axis and Allies on extreme steroids. It simulates the entire earth from the years 1936 - 1945. You can literally play as any country. Brazil, Mongolia, etc. So much depth.

Yeah, Star Wars is definitely good but Batman's better so you should really like it.newarenanow wrote:That's cool. I dunno if Star Wars is the same as Batman or not but the more points you collect you can essentially buy cheats from the game, Batman had score mulitpliers, things to make you build quicker, etc. but they also had minikit and power brick detectors. If you buy them you can turn them on and it will have an arrow in the general area of where they are but they don't tell you how to get it. I've tried repeatedly with these things on and still can't beat it. I've tried looking online for how to get them but haven't had any luck. I might have to check out gamefaqs and see if I can find something there.

Lol...it's the funniest thing, I am guilty of having a video game conscience (except in GTA). I mean, even in Fallout 3. I actually feel BAD sometimes after I kill an innocent wastelander or steal someone's crap. I am sure there is some type of case study just waiting for a research grant here...JoseCuervo wrote:again, I'm a nice person.

I'm still figuring out Star Wars, but when you collect the studs, you can use them to purchase characters, vehicles, and "cheats". I haven't used any of them yet though. I just purchased a ton of them last night, so I may start messing around, but I think they have those brick detectors and such.beerman wrote:Yeah, Star Wars is definitely good but Batman's better so you should really like it.

You'll see as you play, there are things you use the force on. I basically go every square inch either blasting away at things or using the force.
Now I'm really excited to get out of here and play. They did a very good job on these games. Hopefully I'll get 100% on Star Wars in the next few weeks and then move onto Batman for the fall.
I was also playing Punch Out for the Wii and am on Mr. Sandman. I just needed to take a break from that though. I have like 4 games I'm part way through that I need to finish (Mario Kart Wii, Punch Out Wii, Mega Man X for Super NES, and Zelda the Windwaker for GameCube).
I get bored about 75% of the way through because they are so long, but I still want to finish them. I sometimes kind of miss the old scholl NES games where you can play it and beat them in about 2 or 3 hours.

It should be pretty easy to find cheap, my friend gave it to me. They are coming out with Harry Potter for this too. I may look into picking that one up in about a year when it becomes old.

I was definitely enjoying using the force on everything last night. I agree they did a great job on these games, very simple but very enjoyable at the same time.newarenanow wrote:I'm still figuring out Star Wars, but when you collect the studs, you can use them to purchase characters, vehicles, and "cheats". How is Punch Out? I wanted to get that but haven't yet, went with Wii Sports Resort instead.
