I refuse to accept any request from anyone I work with on FB, also. As a matter of fact when they pop up on people you may know, because their number is in my phone book, I block them completely.

Actually had somebody ask me why I haven't posted one of those images for my Facebook pic. Told them because my changing of my profile pic isn't gonna change the world at all. Was then told that I was "afraid" to share it on my profile.

This is a joke. 8 out of 10 threads in r/atheism aren't actually discussing atheism, but posting some kind of news article, cartoon, video, or comment from a prominent atheist lampooning how stupid creationists or people of faith are. At least in r/christianity, I've noticed some measure of self-inspection and people coming to terms with their own conflicted views.

Just about every post in r/atheism is "LOL LOOK HOW STUPID THIS PROMINENT CONSERVATIVE/CHRISTIAN/FOX NEWS ANCHOR/CREATIONIST/FUNDAMENTALIST/TRUTHER IS"

I discovered a fb app where you can create an avatar of yourself, and make one panel comics. I had the idea of using it to make just really depressing stuff because that's funny to me. The first one was me sitting in an empty room playing with one of those paddle ball toys. The thought bubble says, "even this little red ball would leave me if it wasn't for this string". I think I'm going to make a series of these. Not sure what the end game is, but it'll probably involve a phone call from someone asking if I'm ok.

Its the cool thing to do. If you change your picture you are so thoughtful and obviously a fantastic person worthy of all the likes and comments about how you are being such a rebel and how your auntie is super proud of you for taking a stand.
