Richard Dunne is Leo Messi in his own area. Deadly.

Harry Kane gets a hatty and flubs a block as a goalkeeper after lloris snags a red. What a fun game.

Kind of amazed that going into this weekend's Clásico in Madrid, the ninth match of the season, and Barcelona have yet to concede a goal in La Liga play.

Yeah, it's already more about who's going to make the top 4 than who's going to win.

Yeah, Chelsea have the depth that it's hard to see what could derail them. A Fabregas injury would probably be the most significant injury they could face at this point? Diego Costa injury could force them to change things a bit, I guess.

Madrid looked good even after giving a goal up in the 3rd minute. Ronaldo okay game, yet played a part in all three goals. Messi missed a chance to make it 2-0 and overall didn't have much of an impact.

Kroos and Modric excellent, Xavi getting older. Edit - Isco awesome as well filling in for Bale.

Isco could be not so much filling in for as taking over from Bale, if what is said about Ancelotti being unhappy with him is true. Grain of salt.

Isco was man of the match in my book, edging Marcello. Usually the Clásico is a race between Pepe, Sergio Ramos and Marcello to see who can get booked first, but I thought all three were exceptional yesterday.

Only one of the three goals conceded came from regular play. So that's still an impressive run by Bravo.

True, but as a team they gave up 6 to PSG and RM. Haven't faced AM, played Athletic but were at home. Haven't been overly tested yet. Schedule gets tougher for them.

Pepe completed 87.5% of his passes.

You could say... that the bite has been taken out of their offense.

Rules are strict in soccer. Touch the face, off you go. I've always maintained that if the rules are going to be that strictly enforced, then make it worth the sending off - don't just sort of push the guy by the chin, go for the K.O.

It wasn't a red to me, but it got the spurs back in it. Even with the win, this team is a sham. Really frustrating to see obvious shortcomings and they not be addressed...and this is coming from a student of the game.

I find MoPo as Spurs manager very easy to root against. Especially with how well SOU has done after having sold half of their starting XI.

Ridiculous that the Spurs player can instigate the mess and not get punished at all. And there will likely be no retrospective punishment because the ref will say he saw it and the FA is clueless.

Aston Villa has a competition each month on their website where people go and vote for goal of the month. They canceled it because they didn't score a single goal in October.
