Today, LB Saleem Brightwell from Paramus, NJ committed. 6'2, 205 lbs. Rivals has him as a 3 star recruit, 18th ranked player in NJ and 49th LB in the country. ESPN has him 11th in the state and 31st LB nationally. Other offers included Miami, Missouri, Oregon (a visit was scheduled for next weekend), Michigan State, Iowa, UNC, NC State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Boston College, and Wisconsin.

I wonder if Narduzzi can resurrect L. Pitts career? That would be of an immense help in the secondary. The defense in general just needs to be better, I'm excited to see what he and his staff can do and hopefully coach some guys up and bring in some good players over the next few classes.

Would be nice to find someone to play opposite of Boyd as well, and I would love to somehow get a legit QB prospect in here at some point. Oh well.. baby steps and I like what I see so far.
The only thing I feel confident predicting is that the defense will be better.
Is it possible to be worse than they were? haha.

IIRC correctly, when Chryst stepped down they were like 67th. Then they lost Hornibrook and the other guy and were 85th. Three weeks later he has them about to break into the top 50 at 53.

Kittanning TE Nick Bowers has apparently done what he wanted to do since the moment he committed to Pitt, and flipped his committed to PSU.

Where are you seeing it? Even Ups Rivals page doesn't have that.

Some recruiting guy on Twitter alluded to bad news for Pitt after one of their commits loved his official visit to PSU. One of the message boards jumped on it and assumed it was Bowers (which would make sense), but it seems to have no basis at this point and might have been a complete fabrication.

There was a picture of Bowers along with the other PSU recruits at the Lion Shrine so maybe that's fueling the rumors, but U haven't heard of anything official yet. Shareef Miller, who was targeted by Pitt among others, did commit to PSU yesterday though. He is a 3 star DE.

Wouldn't surprise me if Bowers flipped.

Pitt does have a lot of depth at the TE position. Assuming no one leaves due to the coaching change, the 2015 roster will have Holtz (senior), Orndoff (junior), Devon Edwards & Tony Harper (RS soph) and Brian O'Neill (RS freshman).

Plus, like Dickie Dunn said, Bowers has made sure to stay on Penn State's radar pretty much since he committed to Pitt.

If he flips, fine. Best of luck to him if he does.

Vukovcan seems to be the one who has had the names of the last few recruits first that have committed, at least that I've seen. I know nothing about the guy though.

Would be great if Narduzzi can get these two:

Adrienne Talan (3 star LB), best offers from Arkansas, Nebraska, Oregon St., and TCU among others.
Eddy Wilson (3 star DT), committed to Purdue and had an offer from Iowa. Narduzzi trying to flip him.

Still so strange to see a staff recruiting (and getting) guys whose other offers are SEC/B10/ACC/B12 schools instead of Pitt and a bunch of MAC schools (sorry ulf)

My Zips beat Pitt so it is what it is i guess. That was such a weird day, even by the 4th quarter I wasn't sure who I'd rather see win.

There's some mechanical issues, but he looks like a pretty good athlete and makes some really impressive throws.

Also, Bowers has officially flipped.

Eh win some, lose some. They have enough TE's right now, as long as Voytik can get them the ball. will need to be addressed in the next class though.
