I used to be a big Pitt fan, and still am to a lesser degree. I have a Pitt hat and went to the Pitt loss against Miami in 2003.columbia wrote:The Penn State creepers seem awfully interested in Pitt football.

Ok I get the vibe you are talking about the resumption of the Pitt vs PSU series. Pitt won the last match up, so you're saying PSU will win.slappybrown wrote:The date everything changesSam's Drunk Dog wrote:I have no idea. James from State College and Coach Blackjack were rumored to have put the full court press on Whitehead to get him to flip (rumors he was visiting UWV this weekend as well), but looks like they should be good with him:

Rivals and 24/7 both have him as the #1 player in the Commonwealth. He's decided on a major (physical therapy) and already been assigned to a dormitory (Sutherland Hall).
He's already met with new coach Pat Narduzzi. New defensive coordinator Josh Conklin visited Whitehead's home in Center Township to talk about his plans for the Panthers' secondary. Even new offensive coordinator Jim Chaney has spoken to Whitehead about the possibility of the Warriors' electrifying all-purpose athlete taking snaps on offense.
"Right now it's hard for me to pick a position," Whitehead said. "They kind of got me down as an athlete."

Would have loved to have gotten him, but hope he has a great career at Pitt and finds NFL success down the roadslappybrown wrote:James from State College and Coach Blackjack were rumored to have put the full court press on Whitehead to get him to flip (rumors he was visiting UWV this weekend as well), but looks like they should be good with him:

Peak had an article yesterday where he said that Whitehead has been down at Pitt the past 3 weekends with all of the players and new recruits and pretty much hangs out there all weekend. Said that everyone close to him, despite the rumors, said he is solid with Pitt.slappybrown wrote:James from State College and Coach Blackjack were rumored to have put the full court press on Whitehead to get him to flip (rumors he was visiting UWV this weekend as well), but looks like they should be good with him:

Ringgold QB Nico Law is visiting this weekend. Don't see how he doesn't get an offer as an athlete. Could see him as a slot receiver or adding a little muscle and playing CB.
