Re: 2014-2015 Pitt Super Panthers Football Thread
Everyone had stopped cross posting in the other thread like 3-4 months ago because it's stupid and just leads to pages of flame wars. The only one who really continued trolling in here was PGHskins (you can see where during games me and other people said poor form etc) and dtmb has stepped up his trolling lately.
We can go back to the way it was if you guys wants. For a school that also went 6-6 and had your best player regress to intramural levels, you guys are mighty proud of yourselves.

You're quoting that in the wrong thread. No one here is trolling your thread, at least for now.count2infinity wrote:slappybrown wrote:it's stupid and just leads to pages of flame wars.

Yea, what do you expect? eventually, faced with continued and incessant low grade trolling, someone might go in that thread and note your coach admitted under oath that he lied in relation to an ongoing rape investigation. Moral authority, indeed.count2infinity wrote:slappybrown wrote:for now.
Then again, that poster may also note that in happy valley, admissions made by an individual under oath in court proceedings about events in that same persons life aren't even, like, what actually happened man

Don't really know what all the fuss is about (the cross-thread trolling is lame, c'mon DTMB, we are all Pens fans here). Looking forward to watching how Saquon Barkley and Darrin Hall perform for PSU and Pitt respectively, seems like Pitt just churns out fantastic RBs. Wasn't Conner a three-star recruit? In any event, good luck with signing day tomorrow, can't wait for 2016

ESPN Rankings
Anthony McKee - #25 OLB
Saleem Brightwell - #31 OLB
Kevin Givens - #76 OLB
Rivals Ranking
Anthony McKee - #36 OLB
Saleem Brightwell - #49 OLB
Kevin Givens - No national ranking
Just wanted to add the positional rankings to my original point. This isn't a big loss for Pitt or a big steal for PSU. In fact Givens probably checks in at or near the bottom of the player rankings for PSU's recruiting class. This is nothing more than Franklin cherry picking two Pitt recruits (Givens and Bowers) that were always waiting for a PSU offer, so PSU can gain some headlines in the quickly growing war between the two schools. To me, the fact that he did this already shows the effect Narduzzi and his staff have had on the Pitt program.
I still would have preferred to have Givens in the class for positional depth, but he wasn't the important cog he once was and I'm not sure Givens is the type of LB Narduzzi is looking for. He has excellent size, but McKee and Brightwell both have better 40 times and are much quicker players, which seems to be a point of emphasis for this staff. Givens could be faced with a situation where he needs to get quicker, or get bigger and move to DE, where Pitt still has the commitment from the similarly quick, but already much bigger, Shawn Curtis.
Regardless, good for Givens to finally get an offer from his "hometown" school. I wish him personal success while Penn State endures the years of mediocrity one should expect when stuck in a division with tOSU, MSU, and UM.
On a side note, recruiting websites crack me up. Ben Dinucci went from being completely ignored and unranked, to one point away from being a 4-star recruit in ESPN's system and is ranked 18 spots ahead of former Pitt recruit Alex Hornibrook.

That's the spirit. What's the point of owning Pitt if you can't even flaunt it?slappybrown wrote:We can go back to the way it was if you guys wants. For a school that also went 6-6 and had your best player regress to intramural levels, you guys are mighty proud of yourselves.

Let's hope this doesn't come back to hurt Pitt much like the loss of Anthony morelli to UPS. Such a bright star in so many ways.
Speaking of Anthony, there was a rumor going around that he was the manager at the ritas Italian ice in plum. Can anyone confirm this gridiron great was a great leader (you know, the penn state way)of people whilist serving water ice?

According to Morelli's LinkedIn account, he is the owner and head trainer at X-Factor Sports Performance and QB Academy LLC. And holy crap, it's been seven years since he was QB?

It's somewhat of an insult to all QBs if we still consider him a QB

You're hilariously and transparently insecure about where you went to school, but Pitt fans have the fragile psyches? Interesting.DontToewsMeBro wrote:That's the spirit. This is going to end with you posting screenshots of a a third grade geography quiz you got 100% on and excerpts of your undergraduate "thesis", so I really expect that to top anything this board has ever seen, let alone this thread.DontToewsMeBro wrote:Hahaha yeah totally insecure I was a Schreyers scholar and went on to study at Oxbridge, got me there bro!

I know everyone said Whitehead was def still coming to Pitt, nice to see the LOI signed by him to make it official. Really excited as to what he can bring. If you check out Coach Narduzzi's twitter he is putting out info after each LOI he gets.
