Didn't even realize he was eligible at 2nd, that's a nice bonus.

Re: LGP Fantasy Baseball League - Year 3
Did my draft yesterday for my money league. I'm pretty happy with it. A head to head league. I should be excellent in HR and SB. 4 closers in a 10 team league should mean that i'll be good in saves, and although I'm shallow at SP, I like that I got three work horses that strike guys out. If Berkman does what he did last year and Crawford does what he did 2 years ago, I think my offense could dominate.

Since I overdrafted I will not be signing Jesus Montero to a ML contract this season, he will remain on the farm and I will be cutting Donavan Tate from my farm team

Re: LGP Fantasy Baseball League - Year 3
We were actually waiting on Idoit's next pick and then I was up, but I don't know how much it matters at this point. Although I definitely would have taken Marshall with my pick, not really sure what to do there. Out of order pick and already made pick I guess I'd lean towards not being able to change it, but I am a very interested party in the whole thing, so I'd rather defer to a vote or something?

Re: LGP Fantasy Baseball League - Year 3
Looks pretty solid. I've got my second money draft on Thursday. It's a keeper league and I kept one pitcher (Hamels). My plan this year is to draft just offense for the first several rounds then draft SPs and RPs very late. Not even going to worry about closers and will just draft guys with high k/9 since we use that as a stat. I'm curious as to how my team ends up.Troy Loney wrote:Did my draft yesterday for my money league. I'm pretty happy with it. A head to head league. Re: LGP Fantasy Baseball League - Year 3
Colby made his last pick after Troy. Idoit was up next and then me. Then troy then me then troy then me. Beerman corrected an earlier pick in between and I assume that is why Troy thought he was up but I'm not sure. By draft order Idoit is up right now (after beerman's pick).MWB wrote:What was the order supposed to be and what happened with the picks?

Since it was a pick out of order I think it should be taken off the board and Idoit should get to make his pick.

Erase Troy Loney's pick and go to Idoit.

Re: LGP Fantasy Baseball League - Year 3
Drafting for a friend in his money league tonight to co-manage/split winnings. Terrible settings. its 8x6 cats, h2h, weekly rosters. We have the #2 pick. I hear Pujols is going #1 so Miggy is the definite choice if there, but, assuming the #1 person makes the right decision and goes with Cabrera, who is #2 in a league that counts:
Runs
SB
Hit
XBH
HR
RBI
AVG
OBP
1 at all positions, 1 INF position, 4 OFs.

I'd probably go Pujols, but maybe Kemp.

yeah, that is what I was thinking can't go wrong with Pujols but Kemp might take the spot because of position and those weird stat categories.

Pujols is a lot better in obp though. Not a keeper league, right? Also, 1b is somewhat thin this year.Kraftster wrote:yeah, that is what I was thinking can't go wrong with Pujols but Kemp might take the spot because of position and those weird stat categories.

No keeper. Really? Seems like a bunch of 1Bs to me. I sort of felt like OF was thinner than 1B.MWB wrote:Pujols is a lot better in obp though. Not a keeper league, right? Re: LGP Fantasy Baseball League - Year 3
I was thrilled that Cabrera and Pujols went 1-2 in my draft. I wanted Kemp much more than those two. Pujols' numbers were down last year, and now he's moving out of the NL central where he'd been feasting on the Cubs, Astros and Pirates forever. Cabrera isn't a #1 overall pick to me, he was awesome last year, but I don't like the defensive uncertainty the team brought to him. Could affect his at bats. Kemp is a beast, only legit 40-40 threat in the game right now...plus he hit like 325 last year.

Re: LGP Fantasy Baseball League - Year 3
Last year was also a career year for Kemp by a mile. I think Cabrera is the definite #1 with OBP, AVG both being counted. I have to believe Fielder being added offsets the defensive uncertainty. Do you really think he will lose at bats?
