Please post somewhere (either here or on the league site) if you're picking somebody up and why (signing or injury replacement). Last year somebody picked up Jordan Zimmerman (on my farm) and didn't notice for like 2 months till I wanted to call him up as an injury fill-in.

Curtis Granderson is available. #2 hitter last year. Expiring contract, but I know most teams have a re-sign right now, so, taking offers on his rights.
Alternatively, taking offers for someone's re-sign for my re-sign next year plus a sweetener. If I don't trade him, I'd like to re-sign him.

I'm still open to the re-sign swap. I'm just looking to move up a round early in the draft. Depending on the draft order(i can't remember where either of us placed) i'd just swap picks in some round or swap picks in concecutive rounds.

Okay. That sounds doable. I was third and you were sixth.

I have all of my picks. I believe beerman is the only person missing a pick. I'm pretty sure one went to P_G (LITT) in the Halladay theft trade.

Draft order is listed in first post now.

I'd like to try to input the returning players to the teams on Yahoo! so that we can look at the player list on yahoo to determine the available players. Then, after each pick (or perhaps each round), I will put the players that people pick onto their respective teams. In order to do that, I need all the teams to be in Yahoo!, so if you have not yet signed up, please do so as soon as possible.

Huh, as soon as I read that I thought of the team name Al Martin's Wives. I think I might go with that.

Also just want to throw this out there. I have two (hockey) leagues in Fantrax. The bugs from two years ago are gone and they recently deployed a drag and drop roster change system for those who cared about the interface. The ability to have farm players right on your roster, ability to make add/drops the same day, ability to display contracts right on your roster, and ability to expand the roster size in September are pretty big selling points, in my opinion.

granted i am new to the league and dont have a baseline perception, i think that fantrax sounds great. it seems like it can eliminate a lot of the potential confusion and can provide much more info

Keeper league, and we're full. Don't know how we would hold an expansion back to 12 teams, so, maybe next year if we lose someone.

**Not done yet, posted it before I was done**

I entered all of the keepers into Yahoo! as the draft and finalized it. I'm thinking this will give us a player list to work from for the draft. I entered my own rookies and my re-sign (Kershaw) because I know them. For a few others, I added the clear cut keepers who lost farm eligibility just to save some time for those people. If I signed someone you don't want, please drop them. I note below those that I took the liberty of adding.

I sort of envision that whenever we make picks that will be signed to MLB deals/actually be on your roster, the teams can go add them in Yahoo! or I can add them after the picks are made. This will keep a somewhat current list of available players, however, a large number of farm players (about 200) will be listed as available but will already be owned, so, I'm not sure how helpful the player list will really be.

If anyone can see any problem handling it like this, let me know.

It would be great if everyone can do the following:

1) Review your team to make sure I didn't miss anyone.

2) Review your own farm team to see who is losing eligibility. If you are keeping any farmers losing eligibility, add that player to your Yahoo! roster using the waiver wire/free agency.

3) Post in the thread that you are good to go.

When everyone has okayed their Yahoo! roster, we can start drafting.

I figure I can copy the league into fantrax when we are done drafting and we should have a couple weeks to play around in both to decide whether it would be worth switching back. I can tell you that it is a serious pain in the ass trying to go back and forth between LGP searches and unupdated google docs, so it sure would be nice to be able to have all players rostered and to roll over the league from one year to the next.

Actually, on that note, perhaps I can enter the rosters pre-draft, including full farm teams so that we have what really will amount to a complete list of available players so that people can use that if need be.

Added rookies:

Idoit: Bumgarner, Storen, Kimbrel, Freeman, Venters
MWB: Carlos Santana, Starlin Castro, Alex Avila, Eric Hosmer
Troy: Morrisson, Nova, Boesch
LITT: Jhoulys Chacin
ulf: Zimmerman, Walker
Loaf: Stanton
KS: Tabata

Also note:
I had incorrectly listed Rick Porcello as being available previously, that has been fixed.

Sorry I forgot to update these. Other than the players on contracts, these are the farm players i'll be signing. No contracts yet, but I figure we shouldn't really need those for a while.

Drew Storen
Freddie Freeman
Craig Kimbrel
Jonny Venters
Madison Bumgarner

and here are the players that were already under contract just for the whole roster

Troy Tulowitzky
Evan Longoria
Brian McCann
C.C. Sabathia
Jonathan Broxton
Johan Santana
Adam Jones
Jair Jurrjens
Jason Heyward
Dan Uggla
Jayson Werth

And as far as fantrax goes, I'm as much against it as I can be. If everyone else really wants to do it, i'm not going to cause a problem, but my vote is no.
