Re: NBA
The league decided that giving it to LA was too obvious. No one cares about the Bucks so giving them the first pick is a waste (and really, a top-5 pick is what you want this year since you'll get one of Parker/Wiggins/Exum/Embiid/Randle). Philly was so disgusting in their tanking that the league couldn't reward them for it. They're still hoping to save Cleveland, and it keeps the "Lebron's coming home!" angle alive a little longer.count2infinity wrote:how in the hell did the cavs pull that one?

Reported that the tax revenue for California from any sale of the Clippers if completed while the team is in CA is over $300,000,000. 300 Million + change.
That is all.

So CA's budget issues go away once the Clippers get dealt?BigMcK wrote:Reported that the tax revenue for California from any sale of the Clippers if completed while the team is in CA is over $300,000,000. 300 Million + change.

Re: NBA
For as 'great' as the NBA playoffs have been, this Pacers-Heat game is a perfect example of just how lousy it really is. The Heat were really the only team in the East that had a chance to win the conference title. And in the West, while it's a 3-2 series, over half the games have been 10+ point blowouts.

I guess that makes sense given the Cavs' terrible draft history ever since Lebron. They have had amazing luck in the draft lottery over the years, and have almost nothing to show for it. Add on to that the statements made by ownership after Lebron left, basically ruining any chance that he would return after a stint in Miami, and you have a team that is substantially worse than it should be.Letang Is The Truth wrote:was talking with one of my roommates in cleveland; apparently they are trying to trade the first overall pick for kevin love or joakim noah. lol
That is a TERRIBLE franchise.
I don't know who is ultimately going to be considered the best player of the 2014 draft, but I would bet whoever it is, won't be picked by the Cavs.

This is the first time I've seen Tiger referred to as 'great' in a long, long time.ulf wrote:Yes, this. When I don't really have a connection to a team, I go for whoever is going to do great things. Go LeBron and Tiger.shmenguin wrote:me too. i want to see greatness in sports, so i root for lebron.

He didn't win any majors last year, but won a ton of quality golf tournaments, including a win at the Bridgestone and a dominant, old-Tiger win at the Cadillac.ulf wrote:I still think he has the most wins in the past two years

Re: NBA
Watching the Finals game...what an unbelievable first half by the Spurs. They have only missed three shots in the first 18 minutes of the game. That being said, I am nearly positive it will be close to tied by the end of the third.
