NBA
Watching highlights from yesterday, Knicks are down 3 and inbound to Carmelo and Harden fouls him on the floor. He sinks the shot to tie but obviously it doesnt count. I hate the Rockets and am biased, but that seems like it should be intentional. They are inboundig for a 3 to tie but you can foul them to kill the possibility to do that. Of course its nothing new but its flawed.

Re: NBA
That is one of the things I hate the most about basketball compared to other sports. Constantly committing fouls either to get back in the game or win. I agree that it's most egregious when a team is down by 3 with like 5 seconds left, and all the other team has to do is foul so it's only a two-point play at most, in all likelihood.

Re: NBA
I was plannin to get back into college hoops this year, but im realizin the reason i drifted away from it was that it became the same game as the nba. So now in leaning towards just following more NBA. I dont watch college football because its the same game as the NFL with watered down talent. No reason i shouldnt treat basketball te same way.

Re: NBA discussion that LITT deems non-NBA related
You are absolutely right. This thread is not related to the NBA.

You need to take that somewhere else.

best thing about the play was the Rockets TOLD the officials they were going to foul, it's why 'Melo didn't get the continuation. Now, if you tell an official that your going to do something and you do it, isn't that intentional??????

The thing is though...with a good inbound pass he gets that shot off before the foul on the floor. Its a weird play and definitely should have been called on the floor, but other weird stuff goin on making it a unique play.since1970 wrote:best thing about the play was the Rockets TOLD the officials they were going to foul, it's why 'Melo didn't get the continuation. Intentional doesn't literally mean "on purpose" in basketball.since1970 wrote:best thing about the play was the Rockets TOLD the officials they were going to foul, it's why 'Melo didn't get the continuation. Or maybe a better way to put it is that not all fouls "on purpose" are intentional.

The best was on the next trip down the court and Melo fouled Howard before the ball was inbounded so he got called for an intentional foul.

I record NBA on TNT Thursday nights. Watch pre-game, both half time shows, and Inside the NBA. Kenny, Chuck, Shaquille, and EJ are hands down the best sports crew in television. They are what the Sunday NFL jerkoffs on CBS, FOX, and ESPN wish they were.

Re: NBA
I forgot about Anthony Davis until I decided to watch the Wizards just now and first thing I saw was his ugly face and his unibrow. What a horrible thing to see right off the bat. Its good to see that Beal is the only interesting person to watch.
