New rumor: Whitehead to Pitt and will enroll early.

I saw it mentioned somewhere this morning. Just saw it again from a poster on the Scout board.

Seems to be a lot of steam picking up on the Whitehead to Pitt thing. There are a few posters on pantherlair who claim to be "in the know" that say Whitehead is coming here. Now quite often people who claim to be "in the know" are not, but it's worth noting this late. On top of that, the WPIAL Insider guy is saying Pitt as well. And as much as everyone hates that guy, he is rarely wrong about this stuff (for whatever reason, WPIAL kids tell him things).

I still will be shocked if he comes here, but it would be a great shot in the arm for the program.

Is WPIAL Insider guy Mike White? Or are you talking about someone else?

Not Mike White. Cant remember the guys real name, but he built up his reputation as WPIAL_Insider (or something like that) on twitter. He writes for panthers247 now (some college recruiting website affiliated with CBS Sports).

I saw like 3 different things. There are people on Pantherlair saying Pitt, some saying between Pitt and PSU with a PSU lean, some saying tOSU.

So I'm taking it all with a grain of salt. Robert Foster was Pitt all the way until he actually announced.

I personally think he will be going to PSU or WVU.

I'm expecting the rumors to get as pro-Pitt as possible, making the let down when he goes elsewhere all that much more Pitt-like.

I would think that WVU already having 5 DB commits would steer him away from there.

What a huge get for Pitt. I think playing close to home + knowing he will start right away + getting a chance to return kicks (and perhaps a few offensive snaps) got him here. Seemed like he appreciated the honesty of PC. Still shocked, but man, what a shot in the arm for Pitt recruiting.
