Ok...I think I got it now. We will watch Arrow until the crossover episode, then we will watch Flash until the crossover episode, and then we will alternate...

Is that correct?
That would work just fine.

And just one last question (this is confusing me WAY more than it should) is the Arrow episode the first of the crossovers or is it The Flash?

The Flash episode was first, as it airs on Tuesdays (Arrow on Wednesdays).

there are a few other small cameos between the two shows but nothing as major. if you go by original air date you can't go wrong. Sometimes that means Flash, Flash, Arrow; most times it alternates and sometimes it might be two Arrows in a row.

We're up to the crossover episode on Arrow. Stopping to watch The Flash. Hopefully will get through episodes 2 and 3 tonight. It will be nice to not have to deal with the cliffhanger you all have complained about.

How does Arrow do week to week? I know some shows I have binge watched were great until I had to wait every week to see another episode and then it became kinda meh.

Up to episode 22.

My God, how many people is this guy gonna tell he's The Hood?!?!

EDIT: (accidentally posted this in TV Shows thread.)

How many underage kids party at Verdant in Arrow?

Also, Det. Lance occasionally distracts me with his passing resemblance of Mark Ruffalo.

It's not so bad -- by the time it comes back it would have taken me that long to watch even if it had been back already!

Arrow and Flash renewed for next season. Some discussion that Atom could be the next Arrow spinoff: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/01/11/ ... ium=social" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

After binging the first two seasons of Arrow it seems a little slow week to week, but that just might be because this season is slower than season 2.

I like Brandon Routh, so I could be onboard with an Atom spinoff, but I would like to actually see The Atom onscreen before going all in on that.

The Flash spoilers regarding this season's "big bad":
Spoiler:
Tom Cavanagh has confirmed that he is Reverse Flash and there is only one Reverse Flash on the show.

Each season follows a pretty similar formula. The first half is slower and all about laying the building blocks for an action-packed second half. In the case of the current season, there are a lot of storylines in play --
Spoiler:
Laurel's transition to Black Canary
Spoiler:
Roy's growth as Arsenal
Spoiler:
Ray's ATOM suit development
Spoiler:
Thea becoming Speedy
On a more generic note, super pumped for the returns tonight and tomorrow! :scared: :scared: :scared: :fist: :fist: :fist:

Watched Flash v. Arrow last night. Almost caught up. We haven't watched Arrow in a few weeks to catch up on Flash and I really missed the Arrow crew. Oliver > Barry. Not because Oliver is more "bad ass" than Barry. I just think his story is more interesting.

Thea

So we should assume that Speedy is a hero? My wife was concerned about this.

Tonight we should be caught up with everything excluding this week's episodes. I was hoping that we wouldn't catch up until it started up again. The way you all talked about the cliffhanger made me take my time getting there.

Spoiler:
Yes. Speedy (Roy Harper) was among the first sidekicks introduced by DC and eventually evolve into Arsenal. There is also a second Speedy in the DC universe - Mia Dearden. The hints have already been dropped in the show to go in that direction:

1. Oliver nicknamed Thea "Speedy" after her car accident in Season 1
2. Thea went by "Mia" while living in Corto Maltese
3. Moira Queen's maiden name was Dearden

Nice.

From last night's Arrow
Spoiler:
Can someone explain to me why Merlin is now in danger with Oliver "dead." I know this was recently explained, but I am confused as to why this is the case. I know he was in the League of Assassins, something about him leaving the group earns him a death sanction from Ra's al Ghul, but I was under the impression Queen's "death" absolved any sanction on Sara's killer. Halp.

i think he was counting on oliver to kill Ra's. Oliver was acting as his protection from the LoA, right? i think when they demanded justice for Sarah's death, it kind of forced his hand to where he knew that the bounty on his head wouldn't go away, and with Oliver out of the picture, he'd be at the league's mercy. So he manipulated Oliver to try to take down Ra's to end the threat once and for all.

Spoiler:
IIRC, a hit was out on Merlyn for betraying the League of Assassins with his earthquake machine. The only way for that hit to go away is by his death or the death of Ra's Al Ghul. Merlyn knows he couldn't kill Ra's, he's not a strong enough fighter, but he believed that Oliver is skilled enough to do it. He orchestrated Thea killing Sarah knowing that the League of Assassins would want retribution for the death of one of their own and that Oliver would do anything to protect Thea, thus leading to Oliver taking credit for Sarah's murder and challenging Ra's to a duel.
